The Barn was a fantastic place to stay for our holiday especially with a German pointer. Walking around this area is a must. The accommodation was in emaculate condition and the views were stunning. The welcome basket was an unexpected addition that saw us through untill we could go shopping - it was very much appreciated. There was a great dog friendly pub at the bottom of the drive and the shops were a five minute drive away. There isn't really more we could ask for. If I were to be super critical I would make a suggestion to have black out blinds fitted in the bedroom. But all in all I would be more than happy to stop there again.

We loved everything about our break. The barn and location was perfect for us. Karen and John were attentive hosts and provided a generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated.

Had a lovely time at the Barn, we arrived late due to traffic, but the welcome pack meant that we could have a cup of tea and a slice of cake before we went to the pub nearby for a meal. There was even a bottle of wine in the fridge! The rural location suited us perfectly, but it does mean you have to drive to the nearest shops. The cottage is large and spotlessly clean, with a garden at the back overlooking fields. There is no broadband, but being high up, I was able to get a good signal on my mobile network. We would stay there again happily, and would recommend The Barn to anyone.

We had a great time at the Barn and our visit spurred us on to start walking more with our lovely staffy! Will definitely be back :-)

Beautiful location, lovely property and spotlessly clean; only minor problem was rough track leading to property, but manageable by car. Very nice owners, who left an exceptionally generous welcome pack and many local guides and maps. Could not have been better location - nearest shop about 2 miles away, but two very good catering pubs close by (one 2 minutes' walk away) - with stunning views all round. Spacious and very well equipped accommodation with large upstairs lounge having panoramic views in three directions. Friendly local dog-walkers, including the owners, and many fabulous walks round about - both across country tracks and canal paths. Plenty of places of interest to visit. A thoroughly pleasant holiday venue - peaceful, or energetic, or both.

We enjoyed our short stay at the Barn. The owners have thought of everything to make the cottage a home from home and the welcome pack is comprehensive. It is a lovely comfortable quiet and peaceful place, with great views particularly from the upstairs sitting area. We hope to return for a longer stay in the future.
