Good holiday, nice location, but notice that we were sharing with mice, it smelled of mice pee, and had to get rid of a mouse halfway through the holiday, it decided to say hello to me in the living room one evening, but there is obviously more than one living there. It also made its poohing area in my shopping bag which was left I the dinning room for the week. Also there is something in the roof as it kept us awake some nights when we were in bed or early evening whilst having a bath. But other than that enjoyed the stay there. Could do with some new settees as well worn.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. There is no roof space above the bathroom therefore it would be impossible for anything to make a noise up there. Due to the property’s location being near the woods/forest, as a precaution we do have Rentokil visit the property approx. every 6 months for pest control. Guests prior to and after your stay haven’t mentioned any sightings of a mouse, this could have been an isolated incident.. It’s a shame you didn’t bring this matter to our attention during your stay. No other guests have commented on this matter. We are pleased however that you had a good holiday.

Cottage is on a coastal footpath and the nearest pubs and restaurants are a two mile walk away . The cottage is very isolated which is a personal taste as at the end of a private road . Great views of the hills and sea . There is a tea room 200 yards away offering tea, cakes , beer and wine opening 11 to 5 daily . The cottage has no wifi or phone connection , except for Vodafone , although there is a pay as go there for emergencies. Our little dog loved the garden and walks just outside the gate . The outside chairs need updating but apart from that all the other equipment was in working order and clean . There is not a separate shower , it's in the bath which again some people might struggle with . We had a lovely week very relaxing .

Nice cottage in a quiet location. Peaceful and tranquil. Facilitiesd were good, with everything we wanted avalable at the cottage. The bathroom would benifit from a shower but the bath is fine in reality.

Wonderful cottage in absolut silent landscape. Nature pure. We recarged our batteries in short time. Beautiful house in a nice an big garden. Interior is very nice. Smell an hear the sea, hear to the birds concert watching rabbits in the morning on the lawn. The picture of the house you can print on every postcard. Only a small road leads through the forest to the cottage. Only walkers on the costal pad you will see. Lovely tearoom nearby. Ventnor and Shankling ist easyly to reach. Buy fresch lobster an crabs at the ventnor harbour. Only one little problem. The single track way down from the mainroad ist terrible. But every time you pass it an reach the cottage you will ignore. Don´t use the maserati......
