A wealth of interesting character features have been exposed here at Tethera. The local stone wall in the open plan living area is a superb focal point and the perfect backdrop to the warming wood burning stove, making it a great place to relax after a hard day on the fells.
The kitchen, well stocked with plenty of little extras is wrapped in cool granite and flows into the open plan living space ensuring that those budding chefs among you will be able to join in the conversation whilst serving up your favourite signature dish.
The living room window looks onto the world famous Bridge House with the view then extending up and on to Loughrigg fell. The cottage has a 40” Smart TV in the living room which has Sky + and free Wifi. The bedrooms are also equipped with Smart TVs. Great thought has been given to making the bedrooms comfortable yet stylish. Bespoke oak units and locally sourced linens dressing deep cushioned, comfy mattresses. The master suite takes up the entire top floor of the house, a spacious area which includes modern furnishings and bespoke units. The roll top bath and extra large shower make the en suite bathroom feel rather special. An ideal romantic suite for any couple.
The cottage is centrally located in the heart of Ambleside, with a wealth of attractions and amenities available for you to enjoy - two of Ambleside’s most popular restaurants are literally a stone’s throw from the front door - Dodds and the Fulling Mill. One of the most popular pubs in the Lakes, The Golden Rule, is also a very short walk from the house. There’s an array of independent shops in the village, ranging from butchers, wine merchamts, artisan bakers to specialist walking equipment. Many others include well stocked smaller super markets.
