The cottage is just as described on the website. It was clean well equipped and very very peaceful. A perfect base for exploring the Lake District, and close enough to the motorways to explore further afield. We had one issue with a repair and after notifying the owner it was fixed that day while we were out. The complex is very peaceful , tidy and the swimming pool and communal area was brilliant and not overcrowded. Having your own parking space was greatly appreciated as well. We hopefully will return someday.

Tarnside is a lovely apartment in a rural setting near Skelwith Bridge. The pictures on the site are accurate and indeed the place is immaculate. Weather prevented enjoyment of the balcony. Heating, once tuned up a bit, kept the place toasty despite storms outside. The living room/Open Plan kitchen dining area has a lovely high ceiling and feels very spacious. Only problem we encountered was lack of relevant attachment to the vacuum cleaner to clean up at the end of the week, but that could hardly be described as our fault, and did not diminish our enjoyment of the property.

Stayed at Tarnside for three nights over new year and had a great time. It is very clean and warm. The beds are very comfy and the furnishings and utensils etc. are all of a high standard. There is a lovely view from the living room and master bedroom. One morning we saw 5 small deer jumping over the wall directly in front of the living room which was wonderful to see. Definitely worth a stay!
