Nice cottage, beautiful area. Downside not much in the way of TV channels and shared pool and sauna looked dated. Other than this it was a very nice stay.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are sorry to hear you had problems with some of the TV channels. This was due to the main distribution aerial which serves the whole site being damaged during the recent snow storms and high winds - this is being rectified. We were pleased you enjoyed your stay.

The apartment had not been cleaned since the previous occupants and the towels, sheets etc. not changed . The office phone was on voicemail saying it was closed - despite it being within their office hours. After numerous calls we got a message through to the emergency maintenance line and cleaners were sent two hours later to clean the place and change the bedding etc. We had food ready to cook but had to go and find somewhere to eat after a long journey and hungry, tired kids. I understand that mistakes happen but at no point was there any apology from anyone or acknowledgement that there had been a mistake.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We were very sorry and disappointed to hear that the apartment had not been serviced prior to your arrival - thank you for letting us know. It appears there was a mix up at the holiday cleaning company which we have been assured will not happen again. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience. We hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay.

The cottage is just as described on the website. It was clean well equipped and very very peaceful. A perfect base for exploring the Lake District, and close enough to the motorways to explore further afield. We had one issue with a repair and after notifying the owner it was fixed that day while we were out. The complex is very peaceful , tidy and the swimming pool and communal area was brilliant and not overcrowded. Having your own parking space was greatly appreciated as well. We hopefully will return someday.
