The Lowe Farmhouse and Much Dewchurch holiday cottages are situated within the peaceful surroundings of 230-acres of fields, woodland and lakes of a working arable farm, with panoramic views of the Black Mountains, perfect for long rambling walks. The Lowe Farmhouse (ref 28057) is a spacious holiday property which has been renovated and offers accommodation for families, friends and groups for special occasions, which has the added benefit of a great spacious games room, with ¾ size snooker table and poker table. Added extras and fine details, such as robes and slippers make for a memorable holiday. Adjacent to a courtyard of the four lovely Much Dewchurch cottages, converted from the old Scudamore racing stables, they overlook the beautiful, tranquil village of Much Dewchurch with a cider farm next door and the local 14th century pub only a 5-minutes walk.
On site there is a partly wooded, 5-acre ‘fun combat ground’, dedicated to paintballing and various outdoor activities including archery, lazer tag, air gun shooting and clay pigeon shooting, supervised by enthusiastic and energetic marshals, with a pub just down the road to regale one another with tales of bravery and compare ‘war wounds’ at the end of a hard day in the woods! These activities and more are available by arrangement with the owner (at cost), and guests will receive a 20% discount.
Perfectly located for exploring the surrounding area with the cathedral city of Hereford approximately 5 miles, with its Mappi Mundi Centre and chained library, theatre, cinema, leisure centre, Hereford horse racing course and shops. Visit the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye in the heart of the Wye Valley, Hay-on-Wye renowned for its literary festival and known as the book capital of the world and Ludlow, famous for its culinary treats and fine foods. Brecon town and the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park is within easy driving distance. Symonds Yat and Yat Rock is worth a visit and well known for its nesting peregrine falcons and wonderful views of the Wye Valley. Fishing, canoeing, climbing, golf and riding can all be found within the local area. We stayed here 1st week 2017. Amazing place with lots to do within a short drive. Our 2 dogs also loved it. Very comfy beds, good heating and well equipped cottage. The owner Handley is an affable chap and will do anything for you should you need him. With the Tesco club card offer it worked out cheaper than a very average hotel. Hope to come here again. Cheers Craig Lisa and the 2 mini Schnauzers Milo and Max

Lovely and cosy with a great outlook. Wifi never worked however. Owner very friendly and welcoming. We found the bed too soft but maybe that was just a matter of personal preference.

The Tack Room had the most comfortable bed we have stayed in for a very long time in a holiday cottage. The accommodation and the area were wonderful and everyone was very friendly towards us and our dog was welcomed every where we went. We had a lovely time.

A basic property. No dishwasher. Crockery/cutlery/glasses a bit hit and miss - only 2 teaspoons and not much of other cutlery. 4 mugs but masses of plates that didn't match. There were only 2 of us so we managed but I wouldn't wanted to have been in a party of 4. we were only there for 3 days so lack of dishwasher wasn't a problem. Only 4 poor quality pillows but only 2 of us for 3 nights so manageable. Stunning scenery, friendly owner and able to take the dogs anywhere which was a huge bonus.
