The cottage needs some serious re-thinking in the kitchen. Tumble drier does not work, and washing machine is dicey.... does not auto empty, water all over floor . A double cupboard full of port, sherry, liqueur glasses etc. etc so we had to buy a set a of ordinary wine glasses!! Too much superfluous junk in kitchen cupboards (20 egg cups, a dozen soup cups etc) All needs clearing out and re assessing Insufficient lighting in sitting room for reading

We had a fabulous week at Syke Cottage. A warm and well equipped cottage with the added bonus of some breakfast items left for us by the owners. Close to so many great attractions, beautiful walks and stunning scenery.
