Stay was to attend the G&S festival in Harrogate for which it was ideally located. Lodge was well equipped, but some appliances were a problem because there were no instructions available, for instance, on how the oven worked. Beds were very comfortable and the facilities generally good.

Amazing!!! Beautiful place to stay. Great little lodge with all the gadgets and comfort you could possibly need and furnished to a high standard. Close to many beaitiful walks including the fewston resivour and ripley castle. My only criticism is the garden isn't fenced of too well so my little dogs could escape. Meaning we had to go with them everytime.

Lovely place to stay. Clearly not in town centre or within walking distance of pub but that was fine for us. No noise from road or animals to bother us despite other reviewers mentioning sheep etc. It's a working farm and the sheep were brought in because of a storm to the shed near the holiday home but no bothersome noise. And the kennels/cattery is too far away to bother you which I had worried about but needn't have. All in all a great place to stay if you want to be near Harrogate but not in it or near the moors.

The lodge was quite nice but the farm where the lodge was located was a bit of an eyesore with ramshackle buildings and scrap metal lying around. Also it was supposed to be dog friendly but there was a list of rules in the lodge regarding dogs which suggested otherwise. Also there was nowhere to walk straight from the lodge. You really had to go out in the car to get to nice walks. The sofa and armchair weren't particularly comfortable and the washing machine was really complicated to operate.

The second bedroom was too small for two grown ups. The beds were very comfy but lacked storage. The kitchen lacked extra crockery . Had to wash things up from breakfast if you needed them for teatime. Lacked things for the microwave. No welcome pack like milk or cakes which we have had on other 4 star cottages. Very quiet. Just lacked the little extras

Great place to stay and beautifully presented. Only downside is that you do have to drive everywhere .

Had a great stay and will definitely be back! Dogs loved it, kids were enthralled with farm animals being just outside the door and adults got a chance to relax so a successful holiday all round 😀
