This was our second visit to Sunshine Field Cottage, the perfect venue for a family get together. Everything we needed for all, including a toddler and the dog! Lovely garden to enjoy the sun and even a dip in the pool. Last evening meal at the Dennington Queen, would highly recommend.

Booked for a family holiday for 9 the property was accommodating. The swimming pool was a bonus and the swings in the "hidden garden" kept two young children very happy. The fact that the property accepted the family dog made it ideal for our needs

sunshinefield cottage was ideal for our family ranging in ages from 11 to 71. The boys loved the pool although it was cold, we would have paid more for it heated. The large garden was loved by all and the dog was safe to run round. We found it well equipped although the plates and mugs need replaceing.

Marvellous family holiday in a wonderful rural setting. Local amenities are good with a village store and two great pubs but it is a forty minute walk both ways. Facilities at the cottage are first class, our only criticism being a lack of water pressure when running the bath! The outdoor swimming pool was a great hit with the family (the weather for the week was beautifully warm) despite the initial shock of the water temperature!

lovely cottage, but beware of walk from parking area to garden entrance. Not easy with children and disabled people as road is narrow, quite busy, and there is a blind corner. Great garden and playing area, and well equipped.

This is a beautiful house in a great location. Sadly the good bits end there. The furniture is nothing short of disgraceful, uncomfortable, looks filthy, faded & sagging. Lots of light bulbs not working, showers are hit & miss & really only safe to use one at a time in case of scalding or freezing water. The windows are really grubby. Plenty of cobwebs. And as for the towels that were left, they looked like they came from a charity shop. So, we would definitely not recommend nor revisit unless the furniture & furnishings have a massive upgrade. Lovely big garden but very weedy, lovely house but very poorly kept.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are of course very disappointed to have received this review about our home which we have had great pleasure in renting out to so many guests who have enjoyed staying there. As can be seen from the majority of our reviews we have had very positive feedback and the guests after these gave the cottage a 10 out of 10 and are on their 3rd visit.
