Very spacious house with a well equipped kitchen, bit too well equipped as not much space for food storage but not a major issue. Lovely people, beautiful location if you can cope without a phone signal & limited wifi. BUT we had bad weather & some of the downstairs walls were running with water making the small bedroom downstairs unusable & the whole house cold & damp; some of the windows leaked & the electrics were dodgy - as a result of the damp maybe. One of the sockets sparked and the electric went off a few times due to being tripped by something unidentified. Owners were aware & said they would be doing something about it but had I known in advance I would not have booked in February.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. I am a little disappointed and upset to read this, the weather was the worst storm we have had, rain, wind up to 70 mph - it was awful. Since your departure, we have had the electrics checked and they are all fine. The dishwasher broke down whilst you were in residence which we think was tripping the electrics so it has been replaced for a new one and the plug socket front that the dishwasher plug goes into as well. In the downstairs cloak room yes the walls were damp but this is an old farmhouse and it does state in the welcome pack that the house does have damp walls during bad weather. We have not had any previous complaints but we have now fitted an electric radiator in the cloak room so no more damp walls. The kitchen is well equipped as the Cottage sleeps up to 12 people so it has to be, however I have moved items around to make more food storage space. Guests have access to the heating 24 hours, with it coming on twice a day for 1 hour and a half and an override button that can be pressed as many times as they wish during the day / night. We weren't aware of any electrical problem, until you came to speak to us and we saw to it straight away. It does state in the information about the cottage that the property has limited Wi-Fi and no phone signal. I am very sorry that you didn't seem to enjoy the Cottage. We are always willing to help our guests during their stay at Sunnyside. Thank you for the feedback.

Nice House, owners were very friendly and helpful. Nice walk from the door which the kids and dogs loved. A couple of the beds were not the best but everything else in the house was fine. Great place for 2 families to spend a week.

Very nice plenty of room but could do with another shower maybe with one over the bath. Was pleasantly surprised to find large saucepans but could do with a couple of small ones for eggs or beans etc had to buy a couple because the kids like beans with most things and we don't. The owners where very nice couple and welcomed our 5 year old into their house to play with their children

Fantastic quiet setting with Red kites flying above. The house was great for what we needed. A very well equipped kitchen and plenty of room. The only issues we had were :- it would be great if more of the bedrooms had twin beds, For twelve people another shower upstairs would be beneficial and the two single beds weren't very comfortable. The owner was very good and nothing was too much trouble. If you want a place with fantastic views in the country this is the place.
