Large cottage in good location. Ideal for those with dogs. Restaurants, shops, pubs etc around the corner. The cottage, though a little tired, is well equipped. Friendly owner who was easy to get hold of. Newly installed electric heaters worked well, they were needed. A couple of small issues. Firstly water pressure is low and as a result, the main bathroom shower is not worth the effort. Luckily the electric shower in the en-suite master bathroom provided an alternative. The second was the broken dishwasher. Mentioned because the property is listed as having a dishwasher. Not much good if it doesn't work.

Welcome and hospitality of owner during our visit was great however the bungalow really needs a good make over. The carpets are filthy: there is a lot of mildew in the showers and all around the window frames in most rooms. The dishwasher was broken and we had to thoroughly defrost the freezer before it could be used. Water pressure was also an issue. The mattress in the master bedroom also needs replacing. Because of its spaciousness and comfortable furnishings plus its location we ended up enjoying our stay and would return if the above problems had been addressed.

Excellent Holiday - the cottage is two mins walk from the local shops and pubs (pubs and chippies clise fairly early - most shops and chippies are shut by 4 and pubs around 10 depending in how many people are in - this is a village, not a resort. There is two chinese, 1 italian and a kebab shop open and the nearest pub is also an indian restaurant) and ten minutes walk from other amenities, there is also a very frequent bus service to skegnessand ingoldmells. The beach is five mins walk away too. The cottage is massive with enough space for everyone and has plenty of stuff to use - smart tv, baby buggy, high chairs etc. Parking for three or four cars too . The cleanliness isn't top notch however, but saying that, I wouldn't call it dirty either - it also needs some attention from someone with a small toolbox. I think the cottage has been recently acquired and work is being done around it being let out. Don't let my minor gripes put you off - this is a good, big bungalow in a fab location - well worth considering
