Very friendly welcome and introduction to cottage. Fabulous location with direct access to 'the Atlantic'. We were a party of 4 adults and Sula ticked all the boxes for a very enjoyable, get-away-from it all week. Although the weather was not too good we were able to make full use of our time exploring this part of Scotland and would certainly consider a future holiday here.

We had a fabulous sunny week at Sula, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The vase of beautiful yellow roses, wine and chocolate biscuits were a lovely touch on our arrival. I'd expected the accomodation to be quite basic, it was actually very comfortable and spotlessy clean. Sitting out early in the morning looking at the water as the sun appeared was a highlight, I spotted an otter one morning and herons quite often. The island is very pretty, great for cycling and The Puffer on Easdale do great seafood. My only suggestion would be a bigger shower screen as we were conscious of soaking the bath mat if extreme caution wasn't exercised! This certainly hasn't put me off we will be back.

Sula is a warm, welcoming, comfortable cottage in a beautiful location with outstanding views. owners are friendly & helpful but not intrusive. The cottage is ideal for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland, our recommendations are Isle of Luing, (do look for some slate with "fools gold" in it to take home), The Atlantic Islands Centre on Luing is a heritage, arts and coffee shop/restaurant visitor attraction which includes disabled access to all levels. Kilmartin Glen & Museum which has one of the most important concentrations of Neolithic and Bronze Age remains in Scotland. Isle of Mull, taking in the traditional artisan farmhouse cheeses, the Tobermory distillery & a fish & chip lunch from the van by the clock tower on the pier. To do Mull justice you really need to do it over x2 days or get a very early & then the last ferry. McCaig's Tower in Oban is well worth a visit for the views on a clear day, as is Ganavan Sands.

What can I say , we had a great stay in a fab location made even more special by the appearance of an otter in the mornings in the river near just outside! We would definitely go there again!

The accomodation was clean and warm. We were able to watch otters from the comfort of the cottage as they foraged up and down the shore right outside our wondow. The wifi kept the kids occupied on the days the weather got a bit rough and the open fire was just perfect.

We had a wonderful week at Sula. Afraid to give perfect marks in case we won't be able to book it again!

Great location, on site adjoining the "Bridge over the Atlantic" and overlooking the strait. Perfect for exploring the Slate Isles and for easy access to Oban (only 20-25 minutes away by car). So you can also explore other parts of the West Coast and other islands: we did a long day trip to Coll. All the basics are here in this well designed cottage. Friendly owners who provided a bottle of wine as well as the more usual starter bottle of milk and biscuits. Only minor demerit is that there is only one wc, which can be a bit of a pain for larger parties. On the other hand the cottage is well priced and offers good value for money. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Nice surprise in view of earlier reviews: the wifi was reliable and reasonably speedy.
