Nestled in a tiny hamlet, Strathlachan Lodge is an ideal property for a stress free holiday yet close to amenities.

In the heart of Argyll, one of the most picturesque parts of the West Highlands surrounded by mountains and forest, nestling on the side of Loch Fyne, Strathlachan is a tiny hamlet of five cottages reached by a single track road. If you are looking for a holiday location that has fabulous rustic accommodation, set amongst spectacular Scottish scenery, in a tranquil and stress free setting but still close to amenities, Strathlachlan Lodge is the perfect hideaway and one of the very few places that really will match your expectations of how a holiday in Scotland should really be. This spacious modernised cottage is set in forested surroundings with stunning views all around. It stands in its own mature landscaped gardens with three terraces, various sitting areas and private car park. With diverse scenery from mountains, glens and ancient woodlands to fresh water and sea lochs, there is a wide range of sporting and leisure pastimes which can be enjoyed in the area. If a more relaxing pace is desired, just touring around enjoying the dramatic scenery is a great way to experience Argyll and the huge number of places to visit, from small villages to castles and a wide selection of pubs, tea rooms and restaurants where fresh local produce can be enjoyed. For day trips, within easy reach are Loch Lomond, Oban, Glencoe and Fort William. Closer by are Inveraray and Tignabruich. Shop 4 miles, pub/restaurant 2 miles.

We really liked the Lodge. It was spacious, comfortable and tastefully appointed. The ambience was restful. I have already recommended it to friends! If I have to find a fault it would be nice to have some basics like kitchen foil and cling film available but that is a very minor point. We had a lovely week.

Lovely base for exploring the Cowal Peninsula and further afield to Oban, Mull, Loch Lomond environs. Strathlachan lodge is a very comfortable holiday home. The upstairs bedroom is ideal for children but a challenge for the older generation via spiral staircase. Loved the local walks and especially Inveraray.
