The location was perfect for Glasgow and Edinburgh, ideal if you have dogs, but we cut short our 7 day holiday due to the uncleanliness of the cottage, my family could no longer stay in the cottage any more, so we retained home on day 3.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner: I am sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the standard of cleanliness within the cottage. Prior to going away myself this week, I provided the phone number of our cleaning lady, who looks after the cottage when we‘re away. (She has done the job to a good standard for more than three years, enabling us to achieve consistently positive Reevoo ratings.) Had she been contacted at once, instead of on your departure after four days, I’m sure any issues could have been speedily resolved to your satisfaction.

This is a lovely cottage set in the middle of a wildlife park. It is ideal for families with children. There are lovely walks and a great play park as well as lots of rare bread animals literally on your door step. When we were there there was a peacock nesting in the garden which my children loved to feed each morning. Overall this is a a great place to stay with kids and also in an ideal location for visiting either Glasgow, Edinburgh or Stirling.

Owner seems to have thought of everything and even asks for suggestions. Very pet friendly.

The cottage was brilliant and well equipped in a wonderful setting. It was just the right place for a relaxing break but close enough to Glasgow to enjoy the city.

Stony lea is a lovely cottage set in lovely surroundings. For our party of family and small children it was on the doorstep to outdoors and play area. Local facilities, supermarket, pub, restaurant etc were very short car drive. The cottage was equipped with everything needed and a large garden. We enjoyed our stay and had lively sunshine, and would definitely stay again. The only point of criticsm would be that I think the cottage would benefit from a thorough deep clean.

Excellent Base. Everything you need to see the lovely sites of Scotland. Would of been 10 all round but no wi-fi. Not a major as long as you organise your days in advance.

The holiday, cottage, location, garden and Landlord were excellent and there was only one thing that we noticed inside missing, was an upstairs toilet and outside, a light at the front gate as it is dark and there are a few stairs there, otherwise we had a brilliant stay and will return.
