The cottage is obviously purpose built and ideal for two people. The furniture and equipment are are of good quality. The location is a big plus because of the views onto the outstanding countryside. The Moors Inn is probably the only local amenity you can comfortably walk to but that said anyone booking Stone Cross would more than likely have their own transport. There are many places, such as National Trust properties and the like within easy driving distance. Also York, Scarborough and Whitby are less than an hours drive away, that's if you don't stop to take in the views or go for a stroll . Accommodation and location make Stone Cross a great place for an holiday in the lovely county of North Yorkshire.

Lovely little cottage with a quirky mezzanine floor which really made the best of the space available . Extremely dog friendly. Thought that the wine flowers and milk were lovely touches, particularly liked the breadmaker ! Would definitely stay here again .

We stayed her early Feb ruary 2016,with our dog, even though it was freezing out the cottage was so warm and cosy. Flowers, milk and wine on arrival. Even had facilities of a bread maker, to make home made bread (flour etc provided). Everything you could need in the cottage. Was extreamly clean and great value for money. Lovely walks over the Yorkshire Moors from the cottage. Shall definitely recommend and sure we will be back ourselves in the future!!

We absolutely loved this cosy little cottage which was perfect for our short weekend break. There was everything we needed. The cottage was beautifully furnished and we would definitely recommend it to others. We are looking to return in the summer when we can also make the most of the gorgeous view. Thank you for letting us stay in your little gem of a cottage.

An excellent cottage, ideal for a single person as well as a couple. Everything I needed was there, and more! Wonderful view from the cottage, and walking from the door. An excellent location for walking on the moors, and locally, and also for travelling further afield if one wanted to.

Just a fantastic place to stay, the hosts are so welcoming and friendly. We were left wine and flowers as a welcome on arrival. The accommodation is excellent, clean comfortable and well setup. As well as the normal things you would expect they also provide the first bread making ingredients as well as a loaded BBQ.
