Stoke Lodge is a wonderful place to stay for total relaxation. We stayed there for a week at Easter and returned for a two week break in September. It is less than half a mile from Hartland Quay (which has a pub with a good range of food) and a great location for lots of walks, including along the quite dramatic coast. There are lots of things to do in the local area. The Lodge itself has decent sized rooms, was very cosy even when the wind was howling, and the owner makes you feel valued with lots of personal touches. Watching the badgers feeding in the garden at dusk was a real privilege, as well as lots of birds during the day.

Quiet location, well equipped, comfortable and a very nice owner! A great place to stay if you like walking and wildlife. A large garden that you are free to wander in with lots of birds and a badger that visits in the evening. We had a very happy week at Stoke Lodge.

Situated in a lovely location, with lots of small personal touches. Very comfortable, but we had some terrible weather and spent a couple of days indoors and found the property a little cold. The wildlife is great and there is lots to do in the stunning local area.

upon arriving it is not at all attractive as it does need some tender loving care etc new bathroom trimming of garden by back door from kitchen and cleaning of windows which were very dirty with birds mess on them and just general dirt which had been there for sometime also garden furniture we had to wipe off best we could before sitting on, it is a shame as it is in a lovely village where there are nice walks, cream teas pubs and lots of wild life.
