7 Adults, 6 teenagers and 1 younger child. We had a lovely long weekend here. Plenty of space to either all be together or split into smaller groups. The décor is a bit dated but the house was spotless and lovely and warm. The games room was brilliant with pool comps and snooker games randomly taking place all weekend. We made good use of the tennis court using for a very fun game of quick cricket. The only thing that people may not like is the lack of Wifi (however the owner is getting it installed in the near future). We however embraced this as it was great to see our teenagers engaging with each other rather than their screens . The best thing about the weekend was on Saturday night after a lovely walk in the Peak District the adult sat in the kitchen drinking wine, eating cheese and listening to our children laughing as they played a game of charades in the lounge. Looking forward to going back.

This is a very large property which is ideal for a large family gathering. It is really well suited for young children as furnishings are quite old and well used, with no expensive ornaments etc. Bedrooms are large and most have a bathroom. As already mentioned furnishings are rather dated and mattresses could have been more comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for catering for a large group. We liked the large dining room in the conservatory but was spoilt by the central heating being turned off in the afternoon. This meant the house was very cold on arrival and low temperature when we planned to eat in the afternoon. However, the owner did respond but too late for our special get together meal. We enjoyed the games room, but money was lost in the games machine and the football table which did not work. There is a large screen TV in the lounge but unfortunately the remote control worked sporadically and needs replacing. There is ample parking space and plenty of room for children to play outside. Although there are negative points here, they are for the owner to respond to. We would use this property again as positives outweigh negatives.

Great size house. Loved the tennis court and games room especially. Well-equipped kitchen. Owner very welcoming. Only criticism would be the uncomfortable mattresses and the bathrooms needing updating, but overall great house for large family get-together.

First thing to say is that we had a great time! Our holiday was to celebrate a special birthday and the first part consisted of family with children. It was ideal - plenty of space to run around in, a tennis court for the more energetic of us and some animals in the farm next door for the younger children to admire plus a great games room. As in previous reviews, the décor and furniture area bit tired but when you have young children you do not want high end fashion interior decoration. However the only downside was that the farmhouse had some maintenance issues which need to be addressed such as windows screwed shut (some safety concerns here), doors to bedrooms not latching, fridges missing shelves. However provided that the above have been rectified, would not hesitate to return.

Great place for a big weekend away - plenty of room, great games room, lovely patio and views and really good dining room. Yes it's a bit outdated and not "boutique" but that wasn't what we wanted or needed, and it was just right. Would definitely stay again.

House was very functional & had everything we needed. We had a great time. Key for door broke though & the conservatory area didn't feel secure.
