Our family stay at Stelling in early May was very much enjoyed. The house is like a tardis with much more room than you would imagine from the front! It was clean, comfortable, well equipped with everything you could need, and very well placed for walking into Emsworth both by footpath and by road which was preferable for our granddaughter's pushchair. Emsworth is well served with lots of places to eat and drink and an excellent Co-op for daily needs as well as chemist, bakery, butcher and fishmonger, and lots of smaller shops to explore. We had Sunday lunch in the Coal Exchange which was very good and a birthday lunch in the Blue Bell which was delicious. There are all sorts of places to explore very close and the beach at West Wittering is delightful although the road there does get extremely busy on sunny days! From the pretty village of Itchenor you can take a small pedestrian ferry boat to the other side of the harbour inlet and walk to Bosham where the Saxon church is lovely and the pub does excellent fish and chips. Chichester is an interesting and historic town to explore as well as the Roman remains at Fishbourne. Bignor Roman villa is much smaller but the mosaics are well worth visiting as is the delightful countryside around it on the South Downs - pretty villages, unspoilt valleys and woodlands with, at this time of year, lots of bluebells. All in all a super holiday spot in a great cottage which we would highly recommend.

Lovely modern, well equipped cottage. Parking excellent. Location great. BUT please put curtains in the bedroom.. Blinds let too much early morning light in and the top fan windows have no covering whatsoever! Other than this niggle we would recommend staying here in the pretty village of Emsworth.

We spent a month staying at Stelling while waiting to move into a new house. We enjoyed every day and really loved the area.

Enjoyed our stay in Stelling Cottage. Very homely and the finishing touches of christmas decorations inside the cottage and the outside lights on the summerhouse was a lovely touch ! Location was brilliant with walks to both Princestead, the Mill pond in Emsworth and the village centre right on the doorstep. We would book again !

We had a great stay at Stelling. The walk into town over the Mill pond is great. The local pubs serve good food and are friendly. There is loads to do locally for a family - historic dock yard just 20 mins away; fishbourne palace 10 mins away, west wittering beach 30mins away etc. Loads of local walks from emsworth as well. All in all - great. The house is great. Loads of space for a family. Lovely garden and summer house which the kids loved. Marvellous place!

Very nice garden and bedrooms. Enough space for four people. Good to have a parking spot in front of the house. Nice and quiet surroundings and a short way to the town centre. The only little critique we can think of is that the garden doors didn't open very easily. We recommend the cottage very much!

We all liked this cottage, in fact my son and his three children thought it the best we've stayed at so far. (Do beware of the sloping ceilings upstairs as I gave my head a fearful whack in the bathroom.) The cottage is lovely and the garden a real pleasure. The summerhouse and outdoor toys, including the little boat, went down very well with my youngest granddaughter. The cottage is conveniently situated in a quiet road and it's very handy having shops nearby. There are also many good places to visit within a short drive such as Staunton Country Park and The Weald and Downland Open Air Museum. The leisure centre at Chichester is great for a family swim. West Wittering is a safe sandy beach, but try not to leave at the same time as everyone else to avoid a long wait to get out of the car park. As I'm a grandma with a small car it was rather inconvenient to have to bring our own bath and hand towels but the cottage was very well equipped in other ways and it was a very pleasant and relaxing place to stay.
