A cosy, well equipped, 19th Century cottage, in private grounds, with open views to front and rear, with passing steam train and river close by.
Situated at the southern tip of Lake Windermere in a semi rural location and very close to the Haverthwaite and Lakeside Steam Railway, Steam Train Cottage is within striking distance of a variety of activities and quaint Lakeland villages. The area is popular with canoeists and fishermen and being close to Grizedale Forest, the location is ideal for walkers and cyclists too. The cottage is neatly presented with 21st Century styling and enjoys a delightful decked seating area giving way to lovely views of the steam railway passing by. The Swan Hotel, on the banks of the River Leven, offers great food throughout the day and is just two minutes stroll from the cottage. Please note that, due to the nearby railway line, we consider Steam Train Cottage suitable for babes in arms only.

Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge with ice box and microwave. Lounge room: With TV, DVD and Hi-Fi with open fireplace (fuel not provided) and views across to the garden.
First Floor: Bedroom 1: Delightful double bedroom with co-ordinating linens and furniture. Bedroom 2: Single bedroom with space for a cot. Bathroom: With shower over bath, hand basin and WC.
All oil, electric and bed linen provided. Cot and high chair available. One well behaved pet welcome.Outside: Parking for 1 car. Garden with decked area and furniture provided. Useful shed available for bike storage.
