Peaceful, picturesque location

Situated just outside the beautiful Cotswold market town of Winchcombe, Stable Yard Cottages are a group of three well presented holiday cottages and a studio apartment, in a peaceful location. Ideally placed for touring the Cotswolds and the many picturesque towns and villages including Broadway, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh. Cheltenham and its race course are just 5 miles away, while Tewkesbury and Stratford-upon-Avon are just a short drive. Winchcombe has a number of excellent pubs and restaurants. Shops 1/2 mile, pubs 1 mile.

All on ground floor: Living room with French door, beams and double sofa bed/dining room. Kitchen with tiled floor. 1 double (four poster) bedroom with beams. Shower room with toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. DVD. Stereo/CD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Shared laundry room with washing machine. Access to owner’s freezer. Patio and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). No smoking.

    Thank you was realy hard find large dogs alowed.Ollie dalmation was was able to stay on our mini week.Would recomend thanks again .

    Very much typical of this price range in our experience. Pros and Cons: Mattress long overdue for replacement - could not get a good night's sleep. Settee uncomfortable to sit on - did not use as a bed. Would feel very crowded for 4 adults - especially if any were of a large build. Not a place to stay in during the break - use as a base for touring. Not impressed by old leaflets (e.g. 2013) and sticky leaflets (obviously used as placemats for cups) which should have been cleaned out. We replaced before finding that there is a rack in the main building. Figures worn off the cooker - so cooking was an experiment. Still promoting a local pub - which closed ages ago - none in walking distance TV was a decent size and with a DVD player (DVDS in cottage and, of course, purchasable from charity shops if not taking any). Welcome Pack appreciated. Kitchen stocked with cleaners. Not returning as choose different locations each time. If coming back, would probably choose Stowe as a base.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. The mattress was replaced 2 years ago but is a memory foam mattress. In regards to the numbers on the cooker, unfortunately cleaning products have removed some of the numbers. Leaflets have been changed and details about Harvest Home have been removed from the Cottage details. The Pheasant at Toddington has been refurbished and is excellent. All Cottages were inspected during June 16 and were stated as being cleaned to a professional standard.
