Description

Ideal for a couple who love the outdoors, explore the abundance of paths, bridleways and open fields from this holiday cottage.

Stable View is situated on a working farm, adjacent to the owner’s home, between the villages of Wheddon Cross and Timbercombe. Located on the edge of the Exmoor National Park, this area offers a haven away from the fast pace of everyday life. Within easy access to the coast and Exmoor as well as many other local attractions including Dunster Castle (NT) and Porlock Weir. From the cottage, there is an abundance of paths, bridleways and open fields to explore during your stay. Timberscombe is the nearest village, under 2 miles away - a village of ruby-red stone cottages and flower-filled gardens clustered around its church and real ale pub. Minehead, which is on the coast, has a wider range of shops and amenities available.

All on ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen. 1 double (5ft) bedroom. Shower room with toilet.

Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Cot. High chair. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Freezer. Lawned garden with sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (1 car). Natural water supply from spring. No smoking.

the cottage is adequate for a short stay. the area is very pretty. the owners are very nice and dont bother you at all. if I were to stay there again it would be in the summer and not this time of the year - april . lovely to have the chickens outside the window when you get up in the morning. the bed is very comfortable. thankyou to the owners and I wish them all the best.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review, we do our best to the keep the cottage to the highest standard. The cottage is situated in a very secluded area and unfortunately this doesn’t suit everyone. Due to the wild unpredictable British weather this year, we’ve now re decorated and given The cottage its life and spark back again. I hope you enjoyed your stay.

Stable View provided us with a comfortable bolt hole from the inclement weather of pouring rain and very high winds which were raging when we arrived. The central heating was an excellent bonus, and the cottage was pleasant and dog friendly. The overall decor and kitchen area, including the appliances, was a little tired, but we slept really well in the peaceful setting and comfortable bed!
