Customers’ Choice Award 2018
Perfectly situated for walking and bird watching, with several sandy beaches close by or step back in time as you admire the abbey ruins.

Enjoy a relaxing holiday surrounded by countryside in these barn conversions which have been decorated and fitted to a very good standard. They are situated on the owners’ working arable farm, and guests are welcome to use the footpaths crossing the farmland. Take a few steps back in time to the year of 1193 AD when you view the abbey ruins, once bustling with French monks. During the dissolution of the monasteries, Henry VIII had many stones removed from the abbey to build his fortifications at Deal and Walmer. Follow in the monks’ footsteps, (today a 20 minute car journey), and take a trip to Canterbury. Dover is 5 minutes’ drive, ideal for day trips to France or to visit its castle and admire the famous white cliffs. The properties are perfectly situated for walking and bird watching, with several good sandy beaches close by. Monks & Flint barns are adjoining. The Stables & Nell’s Barn are detached. Shop 1½ miles, pub 2 miles.

We had a lovely girls weekend away in the stables. Was easy to get to Dover and other places to visit. Our hosts were very helpful and friendly.

We loved it! The accommodation was squeaky clean and sooo well fitted. The ground floor for our mother was perfect as there we no stairs and a lovely wet room. The grounds were perfect for the dog ( and us) and the wood burner was efficient and cosy. All in all we had a wonderful time; the welcome pack of wine and biscuits was fabulous and the fact that the wood for the stove was free was a revelation!! We can't wait to return and enjoy it all over again. Thank you! x
