We have previously stayed in lakeside cottage but downsized this year, the owners were helpful and made our holiday another success.

This is a difficult one to call as it is a matter of taste. The house is in a lovely place, the hosts are wonderful people, very friendly and helpful. The house is as described except the lawned area....it is cut back harsh hay field and you certainly couldn't walk on it or play on it as it would cut your feet to shreds. The pool is great fun, same depth, no shallow end. You do need a car to get around, there was no evidence of a local shop/bar/restaurant within 1 km and whilst a nice enough town, St Leonard De-Noblat is not lively nor was the surrounding area within a 30k radius (we weren't looking for a vibrant night life) but the options are limited in terms of restaurants etc. As an example, we went to the town for a meal, the options available to us (two if memory serves, might be three) were closed at 8 p.m. We decided to drive around, nothing. The teenager with us hated it, I wouldn't go that far, disappointed is probably the best way to describe it but that's because we were expecting something different. Again though, the house and its setting is lovely.
