Ideal for two pre-school children and parents. Easy walking to well stocked co-op, with lots of things to do nearby : free Highland folk museum, Highland wildlife park and Landmark centre (take tesco days out vouchers).

What a lovely cottage! Everything was very clean when we arrived and it was very well-equipped. The delicious brownies and wine were greatly appreciated :) And we managed to see red squirrels on 2 occasions. It is a good location to visit the highlands especially the Cairngorms area. There is a Co-op supermarket just down the road and around 3 restaurants, we tried the Balavil Hotel Restaurant which served delicious food. We would return to this cosy cottage anytime! The only problem is that there is no wifi and our 3g connection also failed inside the cottage.

Quiet location, easy access to the moors, plenty of places to eat out, a holiday where you do not need to drive to go out for the day, the opportunity to see wildlife from your window, then this is the place to go. We had a red squirrel who came to eat on a tree opposite the window every day. There were ducks, a pheasant and many types of birds. The wildcat trail was great fun, there is a lake to walk around, and the Highland Museum of rural life is only a 20 minute walk. The access to the moors is only a 5 minute walk away. Would recommend the Glen Hotel for food at lunchtime or in the evening. One of the most relaxing holidays we have had.

Very nice accommodation, this was my second visit and I would definitely stay again. The Lodge was warm, clean, comfortable and in a very nice setting with stunning views a short walk away.

Cosy cabin in the woods, with red-tailed wildlife literally on the doorstep - what is not to like. Convenient for walking locally and in the Cairngorms. Also for travel to other areas of the Highlands. Newtonmore is not exactly Las Vegas, which means to get peace and quiet. The Letterbox restaurant just down the hill is also to be recommended.

A very comfortable and pleasant stay in Scotland in this beautiful cabin! Stayed for one week in feb and luckily got snow for two days! We didn't want to come home. We met the owners on one of the walks, a very welcoming and happy couple! Will definitely return! Also fabulous brownies and a bottle of wine on arrival! The cabin was very clean beautifully furnished and well equipped. Lovely bathroom aswell which I don't think is pictured. comfortable beds too, haven't slept so well in a long time! Thank you again.
