An ideal holiday base with is large enclosed garden, hot tub and games room with bar, there’s something for everyone.

This substantial and spacious detached family holiday home is set in beautifully maintained formal gardens and provides a tranquil retreat while only being one mile from the centre of the market town of Leek. Internally the beamed ceilings, leather furnishings and parquet flooring exude an air of elegance and comfort. After a hearty meal cooked on the traditional kitchen range, enjoy a drink at the bar in the games room, on the elevated terrace, or just relax and wind down in the hot tub. The traditional market town of Leek, known as the ‘Queen of the Moorlands’, is a well known centre for the antiques trade and sits close to the Peak District National Park. Enjoy the many dining and shopping experiences on hand in the town and visit Brindley Mill, next to the River Churnet, where corn is still ground or explore the abundant attractions in the surrounding area. Within four miles take a ride on the Churnet Valley Steam Railway or visit Rudyard Lake for walking, sailing, fishing or canoeing. Alternatively for walking and climbing don’t miss ‘The Roaches Rocks’ on the southern uplands of the Pennines. A little further afield Biddulph Grange Gardens, Whiston Hall Golf Club and the famous Alton Towers theme park can be found. At Froghall Wharf in Stoke-on-Trent you can take a canal boat trip on the Cauldon Canal or visit the world famous Wedgewood Potteries visitors centre. Springfield was perfect for us and the family to see the New Year in. The property was very spacious and the games room couldn't have been more suited for our party of 8 adults to party away in. The working disco with twin decks and full collection of vinyl records was a bonus that we hadn't realised we were getting when we booked the property. For anyone thinking of a group getaway, I can thoroughly recommend Springfield

If properly looked after this would be a great holiday base. Like others we found the house and garden maintained to a low standard with mixed cleanliness. The fridge needs replacement, the upstairs toilet seat had to be replaced and we had a significant leak from the shower creating a large pool on the kitchen floor. The response was swift although there seemed to be little concern that our holiday was being affected. The road outside is pretty busy but you are isolated form the signt if not the sound of it. The Qarma Indian Restaurant and the Italian up the road were both excellent. I suspect this house is better suited to a couple of younger families. Loved the dining room, great for boardgaming!

We had a fantastic time at Springfields! It is a lovely, spacious house, with a great garden. hot tub and even its own pub (bar and games room). Great location with nearby supermarkets, restaurants, etc. It suited us completely, as we have three small children and we were able to relax, most of the time, although the site is so large, that they needed careful supervision. There is a bit of a gap in the fence on one side, which they could have crawled through.

Springfields is a lovely place to stay. We stayed with 3 children who loved the air hockey table, hot tub and ample garden to run and play in. Shops are a 5 minute walk, Leek a 10 to the centre, Leek has all the shops you could need for supplies. Springfields is in a great location with the Dovedale, the roaches, alton towers, heights of Abraham and many others a short drive away.
