It was a very comfortable and cosy place, just right for myself and Sasha, my rescue Staffie-Jack. The nearby woods had wonderful views across the fields and to the River Severn if you walked alongside the fence. Otherwise it was a great hideaway and, once you got to know the local countryside roads, very easy to get around in the car. The views from The Bolthole were stupendous. The owner was very helpful and I felt safe and happy there the whole time.

The furniture was tired and in need of updating. there was no patio area as advertised and the only furniture was two mossy chairs. No contact from the owners during the week to ask if everything was ok therefore we didn't know what part if any of the garden we were welcome to use. Nice views.Bedroom and shower room pleasant but water pressure a little low.

Beautiful setting and views. On the Lodging-World.com Booking Confirmation printout it clearly states "meal plan: Free breakfast", and on another website, which I can't trace at present, it stated 'Breakfast brought to you'. But when approached, the owner said, breakfast is not included, and never has been. We were very disappointed. Someone in an office has clearly made a mistake. There was no Welcome Pack, but as we only stayed 2 nights, perhaps this was the norm.

We had a lovely two night short break at The Bolthole - exactly as per the pictures in the heart of the beautiful countryside. only a couple of miles from small town and a lovely Italian restaurant. just be prepared for very narrow winding country lanes and allow extra time for journeys!

Beautiful setting for a Spring or Summer holiday. Particularly good venue for dogs with plenty of walk options locally and within a short drive.

Very nice cottage in a beautiful location. If you are after a quiet break with nothing but fields, walks and hills around you it's perfect.

Hot water only tepid at best and water pressure in shower absolutely attrocious

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are very surprised at this guests comments about the hot water and the shower pressure, we have been letting the flat for over 10 years and nobody else has ever made similar comments. It`s a pity the guest never mentioned these problems to us during his stay as I am sure we could have rectified them. I am now wondering if perhaps he wasn't setting the controls quite right?
