whilst the cottage was a good centre for our holiday activities and we enjoyed exploring the surrounding area - there is a significant problem with damp by the front door - amenities were good but the lack of a loo roll on arrival was a disappointment - once the log burner had been going for a night the place was warm a cozy

Cottage was chilly, and there were no tea towels or bin bags in the kitchen. No logs were provided for the log burner, and we were only there 2 nights so didn’t have time to go shopping

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; The tea towels are always kept in the dresser drawer in the dining area and the bin bags are kept under the kitchen sink. Logs and coal can be bought from the local shop approximately 200 metres from the cottage. Unfortunately we cannot expect people to leave coal/logs for the following guests.

We only booked for a couple of nights. It was a lovely little cottage in a perfect location for exploring the area. A couple of small negative things .....the TV aerial was broken, we cobbled it together and got the tv to work and after a scan we had a few channels available to us but it was limited. More could be made of the garden area....it looked a little scruffy and a pleasant seating area outside would be very welcome on a nice day. The kitchen was well equipped and generally the cottage offered all we needed for our stay.
