Customers’ Choice Award 2018
Ideally situated for exploring Dorset, this property is close to Poole Harbour and just 100 yards from a slipway where you can launch boats.

This comfortable and spacious semi-detached holiday bungalow, adjacent to the owner’s home, is ideally located for exploring all that Poole Harbour has to offer, and has a parking space for a small boat. There is a slipway for launching sailing dinghies and small day boats, for residents, within 100 yards. Canoeing is popular in this location, and is ideal for exploring the RSPB nature reserve at Arne and the islands within this stunning harbour. A 5-minute walk leads to Hamworthy Park and beach (used by the more expert windsurfers and kite surfers out of season), with great views across the harbour, Purbeck Hills and Corfe Castle. It has beach huts, a fabulous paddling pool and play areas, including a tennis court. Poole town is a couple of miles away, where you can enjoy the park and quayside, with its cosmopolitan pubs and restaurants, and views out to the National Trust’s Brownsea Island. From Poole Quay, you can take trips to all parts of the harbour, including the golden sands of Sandbanks and Studland, Wareham and beyond. From the ferry terminal in Hamworthy, trips to France and the Channel Islands can be done in a day. The UNESCO recognised Jurassic Coast - England’s only natural World Heritage Site, is an easy drive away, with Swanage, Lulworth and Durdle Door. There are lots of scenic coastal paths for walking and cycling routes. Attractions within the Purbecks include Farmer Palmers, Monkey World, The Tank Museum and Tyneham Village. Beach 200 yards. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Really lovely welcome from the owner who was kind and responsive. The cottage was so nice, warm clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need and want. I arrived from the North West by rail and the Poole public transport system was good and above all, accessible with a bus stop a few minutes walk away from Spindrift.

A lovely home from home to escape the new year to. Christmas decorations were appreciated. Larger than expected, well equipped, peaceful, lovely garden for summer use. Wi-fi was good. The only downsides were the low and somewhat uncomfortable sofas. You have to pick your spot! My partner found them very difficult to get up from. The weak water pressure in the shower was disappointing though nowhere is as good as our own!

A wonderful week we had at spindrift , wonderful linen and towels, comfortable bed ,well equipped kitchen with every electrical appliance you could need . Beautiful Lounge with patio doors overlooking the garden , beautiful bathroom walk in shower ,and an en suite . We could not fault it at all. And only a few mins till you were walking by the sea .we will return. Thankyou to the owners for the lovely welcome pack . It was also decorated with a Christmas tree , lights around the fire and Christmas plants and ornaments . Highly recommended.

Lovely and quiet location to stay , close to pubs , shop and takeaways, close enough to walk to the quayside and ferry which takes you too Jersey, etc. Plenty of room inside the property, however there were a few things that could be improved. I noticed on a previous comment about the sofas, they are well past their sell by date. All the support has gone and after sitting for any period, we both ended up with backache. The headboard in the bedroom , knock against the wall every time we rolled over in bed, which kept waking our daughter who was the other side of the wall. We had to put some towels behind it in the end to prevent the noise. Apart from those niggling little items, I would recommend it to anyone.

The property was very clean, comfortable and spacious with all we needed for a most enjoyable week. It was in an ideal location for us to meet up with friends and family in the area. There is so much to do in the vicinity that a week is not enough!

Response on behalf of the Owner; There was a criticism of the quality of the WiFi and this has now been dealt with. The password has been updated and the WiFi is no longer an issue.
