This is a beautiful very well equipped cottage. We had a lovely time even though it rained quite a lot

Welcoming and cosy cottage in a friendly village with Good amenities and very friendly helpful owners living nearby. Equipped with all you need in the cottage and the four poster bed is comfy.

The cottage was cosy and welcoming and well equipped as usual. The location is fairly remote but we know this and like the village and surrounding areas. If you want to escape for a while this is the ideal place to go.

Nice cottage with a lovely garden. Well equipped and provided with a welcome pack. Everything worked as it should and it was very clean. Free Wi-Fi was useful as there is little or no phone signal. The bathroom is downstairs and some of the floors are uneven, but that is because of the age of the property. A problem with parking, as other people park right outside the cottage which meant finding a space in another road. There is a local Spar, a bakery, a nice deli and a couple of pubs to eat at, all within walking distance. A lot of driving to get to places down winding country roads, but we expected that. I would recommend this cottage to anyone who likes traditional country properties in a fairly quiet location.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments especially regarding parking by others outside the cottage. We shall introduce a "Polite Notice" to deter offenders. We would also like to add that complimentary off road parking is available two doors down.

The cottage on the whole was well equipped but too far out and the downstairs bathroom was a bit of a problem

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. Rather than "too far out"' the property is in a lovely friendly and bustling village. Many listed sixteenth century 2 up 2 down cottages have had by necessity had their bathrooms added on downstairs.

The moment we stepped through the front door we realised what a treasure we had come across. Spindleberry offers all the creature comforts of home and with the lamps on for our arrival it felt so cosy and welcoming. This charming thatched cottage weaved its magic with its interesting history. The garden was a lovely place to relax with a glass of wine in the evening. We especially loved the welcome gifts that were left for us. When we arrived Chulmley's Annual Fair was on and we had a lovely time mingling with the locals. Would definitely recommend the local Bakery where we purchased delicious bread and their breakfast slices We bought some for our journey home, all the way back to Cornwall.
