A quaint cottage in a great location with lovely views from the garden. The owners live next door and were very friendly and helpful. It is a great base from which to tour the area. The cottage is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. In the living room the two single seats have apparently been replaced and these were very comfortable. However the settee is uncomfortable and inadequate for a cottage advertised for 6 people. The television is tiny and cannot be seen from the seating area. The cottage is advertised as having wifi, however it is not clear that you have to pay for this and it works out at around 10 euros per day for moderate use. The kitchen lacks adequate cooking equipment for 6 people, such as a large pot and it only has a 2 slice toaster. It is a terrific cottage for 2 or 3 people, but could easily be made more comfortable for a larger party with a few adjustments.

Really nice cottage, well appointed. Within easy reach of the shore, but the busy road was just too close - a little noisy. The view from the rear of the coattage was stunning. The local villages were great - shops, places to eat aplenty. And Toni and Martan could not have been more attentive and helpful hosts when we needed them, and invisible when we didn't.

The cottage was fine, clean and comfortable. The owners were very friendly and did everything to help our stay including freshly made bread on arrival. The local village had all we needed with two supermarkets, several pubs. All within about a 15 minute walk of the cottage or a few minutes in the car.

This was our first stay at this character property but we are very familiar with the area. It is in an excellent location with a 15 minute walk to Spideal for restaurants and bars. There is also access to a rocky coastline that constituted the morning walk with our dog. The cottage itself is terrific. We only needed to use downstairs area and quickly appreciated its scale and layout. The bathroom has been renovated to a high standard and the bedroom enormously comfortable. The main living space while compact is very useable and cosy when the peat fire was lit at night. The kitchen is equipped with everything you'd need on holiday. Martan and Toni, the owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. We were supplied with a load of peat which Martan replenished when needed. The view across Galway Bay is lovely, really quite special. In summary this is an excellent property run by people who are kind and make you feel right at home. Now that we've found the sean teacht we fully intend to return asap. Thoroughly recommended. By us and by Aine our dog!
