Former coaching house with spiral staircase, close by is a pleasure pier, beaches, parks, coastal walks and championship golf courses.

This comfortable, former coaching house, set to the rear of the owner’s impressive Victorian house, dates back to 1890. Sympathetically renovated, it retains original features and is just 15 minutes’ stroll from Lord Street. Well placed for all that this striking Victorian seaside town has to offer, including the second longest seaside pleasure pier in Great Britain. With beaches, impressive parks and miles of coastal walks it is a great place to relax. The area offers shopping, restaurants and nightlife as well as championship golf courses. Southport train station is a 15 minute walk away, or 5 minutes by car, and provides easy access to Liverpool (approximately 30 mins), with all its museums, theatres, shopping, Liverpool One, Albert Dock and other attractions too numerous to mention. Trains also operate to the historic city of Chester (approximately 1 hour) and bustling city of Manchester (approximately 1¼ hours). Beach 2 miles. Shop and pub 440 yards, restaurant 880 yards.

Ground floor: Dining room/kitchen. 1 double bedroom with additional single. Separate toilet. Steep, spiral stairs to first floor: Living room with pool table. 1 twin bedroom. Bathroom with bath, shower cubicle, toilet.

Gas central heating included (£50per week, £30 per short break October-March). Electricity, bed linen, towels included. Travel cot. High chair. Two Freeview TVs. DVD. CD. Electric hob. Electric oven. Combi microwave/oven/grill. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Lawned garden with patio and furniture. Barbecue. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. No smoking. A very well converted Coach house with plenty of room for 5 people. The pool table was an advantage. The extra heating payment was quite steep especially as the heating times were erratic

We had a very good holiday at the Coach House. The owners were very helpful and made us welcome. I would like to visit Southport again in the summer!

Very well equipped and spacious. Ideal for teenagers with pool table in lounge and free wifi. I would not recommend this property for small children due to the spiral staircase and hard floors. A quirky property in a quiet private location.

Coach house is a unique well equipped property. The owner was friendly and helpful. The secure parking was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.

The coach house is beautiful restored with some original features. It is located about a 10 min walk into the centre of southport which is good if you want to rest your car. Only a couple of gripes, the wifi is nowhere near reliable so do not expect to use it much. Also a gate at the top of the spiral stair gate could be beneficial especially if you are visiting with young children.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; Thanks for the great feedback on your stay in the Coach House. I do wish you had mentioned the two gripes to me during your stay as both are easily solved. The Wi-Fi can be switched off for 10 seconds at the socket and this solves any connection issues and there is a board that can be fitted between the top bars of the spiral staircase to block children from going down, it is located behind the desk upstairs.
