The kitchen was greasy, the kitchen door didn't lock, neither did the balcony door unless you lifted the door before turning the key. The sofa is extrememly uncomfortable, one of the single beds was broken when we arrived- luckily the owner was there that evening to change the key safe code and managed to bodge a fix up job. The rooms were dusty, thick dust down the side of one single bed, again thick dust on the pillow head rest in the master bedroom. The roof/window above the balcony doors leaked. The heating charge should be included in the overall cost of the cottage, I didn't realise until after booking that there was a sur charge of £40 to have the heating on, and as there is obviously no insulation in the roof of the main bedroom at least, then the heating is needed 24/7. The photo needs updating as the front of the house is extremely overgrown now and this photo obviously shows it on a very good day, it hasn't looked like that for years I would say! A lot of money for a run down house!

Whilst we enjoyed our break . The cottage could do with a little tlc. Very small things the sofa is so uncomfortable to sit on. The double bed is very soft and my back suffered. The parking was hard and whilst not a problem to park on the road. And a bit dark and old fashioned. But had all that we needed.

A very relaxing holiday. Hot tub a bonus. Good restaurants/coffee shops in Oxton Village but none were dog friendly.

A lovely warm and cozy cottage. located in a small village a minutes walk from the shops and different eateries. A nice quiet location with friendly locals. Parking wasn't a problem we parked on the corner of the road a minute from the cottage. Hot tub was amazing to come back to after a day out in nearby Liverpool and exploring around the Wirral. the location of the cottage was ideal for exploring as everything is no more than a 30 minute drive away. We will be going back as the cottage is in a beautiful setting and I'm sure would be even more spectacular in the summer.

Great location. Hot tub wonderful. Very warm and cosy. Stacks of hot water. Had fantastic stay and will book again. Plenty of parking nearby and never had a problem. Weather was awful while we were there but still found plenty to do. Dog walk within 5 mins Had very relaxing time To improve a few extra plates and coasters but this is nit picking. Would love to stay when lovely courtyard could be used
