Great little place, with fantastic access to the coast path. You do need to stay organised to be comfortable in a small space, with no WiFi (oh, the horror!), but we thought it was pretty much perfect. Local pub is great, too.

The bathroom was too small for a wet room, which meant there was nowhere for dry stuff, and the entire floor was wet all the time. The bathroom was unpleasant, with mould growing up the walls and on the door. The grout was black. The bed was very damp, and the bed-linen and towels are very worn and tired. Not enough storage (part of its small and compactness) no free cupboards for your own food. The cottage has no view despite being very close to the sea, and the track to it would not suit anything but a 4x4. Some nice touches like fresh flowers and a cream tea, but the bathroom and lack of a view spoilt it for us. I wouldn't recommend it.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner- I am most suprised to read these comments, as I had spoken to this couple at length several times during their stay, and at no time did they mention any of these issues. In fact I was told everything was 'lovely' and they were 'very happy and relaxed' at the cottage. The bathroom, is a wet room, and is fairly small, but it it a cosy one bedroomed cottage as the website pictures clearly shows. Without stating the obvious, it will get wet, but there is an extractor fan, and a large heated towel rail. All the grouting in the bathroom is dark grey, and not mould stained. the only time condensation mould appears on the doors is when the room is not allowed to dry, but the housekeeper checks for this at each changeover as a matter of course. With regard to a shortage of storage, there is a double short hanging space in the bedroom, there is a large lidded storage box in the base of the wardrobe, there is a large underbed storage box, there are over door hangers, and six drawers in the bedside cabinets. Most of our guests find this sufficient in a one bed roomed cottage. There is a cupboard left free in the kitchen for guests own food. With regard to no see views, I am at a loss, as mists permitting, the sea can be seen from the property. Lastly the track being only suitable for 4 x 4s is incorrect, it is used daily by the following who do not have 4x 4s, my husband, our postman, our neighbours, our friends, deliveries and also the many, happy guests who have visited us over the years.

We had a very good holiday. Marie was really welcoming and has got the right balance between being around but not intrusive. She gave us local info & was helpful especially when we needed to see the local vet! For us the cottage was too small and that would be the only reason we wouldn't stay there again.

Slightly too small. No secure area for dogs
