Its moorland and native Scots pine forest habitat overlooks Loch Maree and supports red deer, golden eagles, pine martens and wildcat. Smithy Cottage has its own secure garden and is 20 yards from the village shop and cafe. Five beautiful beaches locally. Inverewe Gardens are within easy reach, as is Skye. Hill walking from the doorstep; loch, river and sea fishing locally. Golf 30-minute drive. Shop 20 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

    A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Very well equipped and organised. We had a great time.

    Great place to stay. Good beds, good kitchen en good location. Toilet is a bit squicky, which might wake you ip as headrest of main bed is right on other side of the wall.
