a great base as long as you don't mind the steep hill - part of the charm of the area. though 2 adults can use the the twin beds it was felt that these are more suitable for children and the matresses were ok rather than great. As we were on a walking holiday the lack of hooks or other modes of hanging wet coats downstairs was a drawback but clothing dried easily overnight using the airer and the storage heaters. some sort of mat for wet boots would also have been handy though the flooring made it non essential.
