Nestled within the grounds of the owners’ farmhouse, this holiday apartment is located in a quiet rural location and enjoys views over Kensey Valley.

Tucked away in a quiet rural location and enjoying views over the Kensey Valley and surrounding countryside, these superb adjoining apartments (ref: T44, T45 and T46) lie within the grounds of the owners’ farmhouse. Set amongst open countryside, they have been renovated to a high standard and offer inviting holiday accommodation - perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Each property has access to the garden of the main house, where there is a play area. There are also pigs and free range chickens, which children can help to feed, or collect the eggs, which are available for guests to purchase. Fronted by an attractive courtyard with a barbecue and picnic area and two paddocks that are perfect for walking the dogs, visitors will find plenty of space to relax and unwind.
The apartments offer an ideal base for touring both Devon and Cornwall, and are within easy reach of the A30. Located centrally between north and south coasts, it is not more than a 25-minute drive from a selection of good sandy beaches ideal for rock pooling, surfing and dog walking. Boscastle and Tintagel, the small sandy cove of Trebarwith Strand and Crackington Haven, as well as some of the most spectacular coastal walks in the area can be found nearby. Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are within easy reach as are several magnificent National Trust houses and gardens. The popular Eden Project is also easily accessible.
Historic Launceston (1 mile), once the capital of Cornwall, offers a medieval castle, a selection of shops and a steam railway. There are two excellent golf courses within a short distance and a selection of horseriding schools nearby. Shops 1½ miles and a selection of local pubs offering excellent food; nearest approximately 1 mile.

Kitchen area with cherry wood units and stable door to outside. Two steps up to double bedroom with 6ft bed and en-suite bathroom with shower over whirlpool bath and toilet.     Got there and the first night there were no lights after 12 husband fell over a cast iron wood burner and cut all his legs had to stay in the whole holiday. No condiments cob webbs everywhere water was not hot lights were not working

    Response on behalf of the Owner; I'm so sorry you did not enjoy your stay at Skyber barn. In response to your comments, I am very sorry your husband injured his leg on the fire pit. Our security lights are on a timer, and go off at midnight. We have found this to be satisfactory for all our guests in the past, as we have never had any guests walking their dog after this time. The fire pit is not in the main path to the property. We will, however, review our outside lighting, in light of your comments. With regards to the hot water, at no point did you contact us about this problem - had you done, we would have resolved it straight away. The lights in Skyber were all checked after your departure, and they all work. Unfortunately it seems one of the fuses flicked off, which is easily resolvable and very visible in the cupboard off the main living area. Again, it would have been helpful if you had informed us of this. Unfortunately salt and pepper are not provided as standard in this property. It is self-catering, and presumed that guests will bring their own. It's a shame you did not think to thank us for the free milk I gave you on arrival, the free tea, biscuits, coffee and wine also provided. It is also very disappointing that you left without paying for any of the farm produce that we gave you.

    We've recently returned from a weeks stay at Skyber. The cottage is in a brilliant location for exploring Cornwall & is like a real home from home. There was lots of space outside (& some amazing views) for our sons to explore & they loved feeding the owner's pigs & visiting the chickens. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable & homely. The welcome pack (tea, coffee, biscuits, wine & flowers) was a lovely surprise too - thank you. We will definitely be returning.

    Skyber is a beautiful and tastefully decorated barn with all the comforts of home. Loved the fresh eggs, bacon and vegetables available through Amy, who was very helpful. We all enjoyed feeding the pigs our scraps! Would definitely come again.

    Skybox is a bright, spacious and airy loft conversion in spotless condition with beautifully kept parking area and outside grounds. The property has real "wow" factor thanks to its full length side windows, joisted roof space and elevated bedroom with double barn door entrance. We received a friendly and informative welcome from the proprietor. The location is a central base for exploration of North Cornwall and Dartmoor, though you do need to drive upwards of 20 miles to get to most attractive places. By the stunning standards of the property the kitchenware was a bit tired and the WiFi router gave only a weak and occasionally intermittent single. Otherwise, this is a top-class destination. We would have been happy to spend much more time here and hope to return.

    We only had a short break away in Skyber. It was just what we needed, a beautiful location, away from the rush of life and completely stress free. I would recommend this to anyone. Whether you are single, a couple or have a family. We will certainly be booking again, but for a much longer period. The hosts are so welcoming and helpful. Can't wait to go back.

    We stayed there for the second time over Christmas and in general we were satisfied with everything. So we can only agree with all the positive reviews already posted. Unfortunately, it was also the second time that the wifi didn't work. Of course, the internet providers might not be very reliable and this would not be a reason for complaining to the owners but this time we discovered and told them that we could not access their local wifi router which looked very outdated. This means that the internet provider is not even involved in this. It's only a local problem. And maybe I should mention that we travel a lot and never have any problems connecting to the wifi.
