Our stay in Skellater Cottage was just what we needed; a restful and relaxing break in a comfortable and well equipped cottage situated in a beautiful location. The cottage was an interesting blend of charming and comfy with a quirky character. The well furnished and comfortable lounge was a really lovely place to relax, the kitchen had pretty much all we needed and the bed was comfy. The bathroom is a little tired but serviceable. The weather helped during our stay as it was warm and sunny for almost the whole week. The only little bug-bare is that the immersion heater doesn't really give enough hot water for a 'nice' bath. That said, we had a really lovely time. Excellent walks from the doorstep make the location an excellent one for the outdoors type and the cottage's proximity to the Speyside area make it a useful location for those in search of a quality dram. The welcome from the hosts is warm and friendly and the wealth of information offered about both the cottage and the surrounding location were impressive. All-in-all a lovely place (although, it may be a little chilly with our central heating in the winter months). Would certainly visit again.

We had a lovely few days at Skellater Cottage with our dog. It's a great cottage in a wonderful location with long walks straight from the gate. There is a well stocked shop nearby. The cottage is spacious for a couple or small family and it's very well equipped and kept. We had a really plentiful supply of logs for the fire which was great as it was still very cold when we visited. The bed was soft which we thought might be a problem at first but it wasn't. It's a perfect place to get away and relax. The only problem we had was with the shower in which we found it hard to regulate the temperature. Overall it's highly recommended.
