Situated in an elevated position with views of the surrounding farmland and hills, this delightful traditional stone cottage offers beautifully presented, comfortable accommodation. Set in its own garden, Skellater Cottage offers the ideal place to relax on a summers evening and enjoy the peace of the countryside. During the winter months you have the welcome comfort of an wood burning stove to return to after a day out exploring this lovely area.
Ground Floor: Property is all on ground floor with electric heating and comprises: Lounge: With wood burning stove (fuel provided) free view TV and DVD with sofa bed (for + 2 with linen provided if required) Kitchen/Dining: With electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge (with ice box) and washing machine. Bedroom : With double bed. A spacious room with built in wardrobes and a chest of drawers. Bathroom: With shower over bath, WC and wash basin.
All fuel, power, bed linen and towels included. High chair available.Garden with furniture and BBQ. Off road parking for 2 cars. Please note that should there be adverse weather conditions you will require a four wheel vehicle to be able to get directly to the property door, although of course you can park your car on the roadside and walk up to the property if necessary. Access to the cottage (if no 4x4 vehicle) would still be available but parking right next to the cottage may not be. Assistance, in these unusual circumstrances, would be given. The owner owns a stretch of local river from Luib Bridge to Ballater Bridge (20km), day/week/season permits are available, £20 per rod per day, discount given for weekly/season permits. Please ask the owners for details.
