Archery and clay pigeon shooting

The Lowe Farmhouse and Much Dewchurch holiday cottages are situated within the peaceful surroundings of 230-acres of fields, woodland and lakes of a working arable farm, with panoramic views of the Black Mountains, perfect for long rambling walks. The Lowe Farmhouse (ref 28057) is a spacious holiday property which has been renovated and offers accommodation for families, friends and groups for special occasions, which has the added benefit of a great spacious games room, with ¾ size snooker table and poker table. Added extras and fine details, such as robes and slippers make for a memorable holiday. Adjacent to a courtyard of the four lovely Much Dewchurch cottages, converted from the old Scudamore racing stables, they overlook the beautiful, tranquil village of Much Dewchurch with a cider farm next door and the local 14th century pub only a 5-minutes walk.
On site there is a partly wooded, 5-acre ‘fun combat ground’, dedicated to paintballing and various outdoor activities including archery, lazer tag, air gun shooting and clay pigeon shooting, supervised by enthusiastic and energetic marshals, with a pub just down the road to regale one another with tales of bravery and compare ‘war wounds’ at the end of a hard day in the woods! These activities and more are available by arrangement with the owner (at cost), and guests will receive a 20% discount.
Perfectly located for exploring the surrounding area with the cathedral city of Hereford approximately 5 miles, with its Mappi Mundi Centre and chained library, theatre, cinema, leisure centre, Hereford horse racing course and shops. Visit the pretty market town of Ross-on-Wye in the heart of the Wye Valley, Hay-on-Wye renowned for its literary festival and known as the book capital of the world and Ludlow, famous for its culinary treats and fine foods. Brecon town and the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park is within easy driving distance. Symonds Yat and Yat Rock is worth a visit and well known for its nesting peregrine falcons and wonderful views of the Wye Valley. Fishing, canoeing, climbing, golf and riding can all be found within the local area. There are numerous places of historical interest to visit, with many castles, museums, historical houses and ancient churches. For a great get away to rural England, Herefordshire offers a wonderful opportunity. Shops 1½ miles and pubs ½ mile. Lovely cottage, lovely people, great local pub. The upstairs ceiling was very low making it uncomfortable for tallest people. Loads to do in the area. Great value!

An amazing holiday! The cottage was clean, spacious, comfortable and provided every thing that we needed. It is set in the most beautiful surroundings with breathtaking views in all directions. It is close to local amenities, good pubs and the owner was very pleasant and most helpful. Would happily stay here again!
