A nice cottage although dated looking and in need of refurbishment. The curtains didnt sit on the curtain rails properly, the curtains in places where too short to cover the windows, lack of wifi, bed where too soft, felt like I was falling off when I neared the sides of the bed, only 1 pillow per bed. The stair case to the upper level although interesting was a danager to most who would use it and you had to be very very careful when goign up and down. The bathroom upstairs had a shinny floor which was extremely slippery when wet and my children fell over when just walking on it after a bath. The shower head in the other bathroom needs replacing. I feel that the owners spend alot of time and effort on the large property that sleeps 14 and doesnt do much with the other properties. It smelt abit like my nans house, so old people like. It also only had a dinner table to sit 4 comfortably and no more. This place is relly designed for no more than 4 people, 2 adluts and upto 3 children and nothing more. The owners helped when the light switch broke and replaced it quickly, which was good of them. It was an okay stay but wouldnt stay there again.

Lovely cottage. Plenty of room for 6 adults. Near pub that does good food. Owner on site very helpful. Very welcoming. We were at a wedding at Dews hall and it was nearby. Taxi was £20. Each way. Would return xx

The comfortable accommodation has been well thought out. Cleanliness was good. Not as well equipped as some, particularly with regards to cutlery etc. However, having our own washing machine was an unexpected bonus! The location is absolutely outstanding with stunning views. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. We felt it was good value for money. All in all we fell in love with this part of Hertfordshire and would definitely stay in this cottage again.

Kitchen and dining equipment very poor and scruffy. Comfy bedrooms but beware low doorways and ceiling upstairs. Great location in beautiful countryside.

Cosy cottage, fairly well equipped but could do with a bit of maintenance here and there. Very steep ladder access to bedroom on 1st floor - great for our kids (both teenagers) but could be an issue for those with younger children. Beautiful, peaceful location with amazing views and large lawn for outside games. Would happily stay here again.
