A lovely little cottage which has everything you need for a comfortable stay. No problems with parking, and nice of the owner to call on our first morning to make sure everything was ok, and see if we needed anything else. Haverigg isnt the best pace to stay if you want an action packed holiday, but the local Londis and pubs are just 100 yards away at the end of the road, and the beach is a five minute walk from the cottage. The local caravan park is about five minutes away and has a lovely bar which serves food that none residents can use. This cottage is in the perfect place if you want to walk around the local coastline, or use it as a base to explore the many attractions that Cumbria and the Lake district has to offer. We would not hesitate to return in the future.

Beautiful cottage and the attention to details shows in the little things. It is very well maintained and kept very clean. The cottage shows its own character. Had a very memorable stay, even for the short time for the stay.

The cottage is comfortable, clean and warm. It is ideally situated close to local grocery store and take away. The beach and sand dune walks are very close by and there is also good countryside walks. Dogs are permitted. On road parking is conveniently close. It is very well situated for short distance drives to Coniston, Wastwater, Fell Foot Windermere. Scenery is breathtaking.

This cottage is the cleanest we have ever stayed in - and the home made cake was delicious and a very thoughtful gift. The following comments are observations and by no means meant as criticism - just a fuller description of the property. This cottage was just like walking into my mum's house - spotlessly clean, magnolia walls and period furniture. The two settees were not particularly comfortable - footstool to put your feet up would help. Kitchen really well equipped, everything you could need - no washing machine or dishwasher for those with young families - no problem to us. Downstairs bathroom - we found the bath took forever to fill - big and deep which is great but not worth the wait. The shower really does need replacing - old electric style that really is not up the job and despite our best efforts, squirted water over the top of the shower screen and wet the floor! Small, fully enclosed garden at the back, washing line and garden chairs for sunny moments. The gate adjoining next door has gaps in it - not big enough for escapes by children or even tiny dogs, but you can see through and dogs could have nose to nose contact with the dog next door. Glad it wasn't raining as some exposed soil in garden and didn't want any muddy paw prints inside. Good heating system - it was warm when we visited, but as with lots of older, terraced properties it did feel cool downstairs until late afternoon. Beds were extremely comfy and again spotless. Everything you could need in this cottage, in a friendly if a bit neglected part of Cumbria. We loved it.
