Beautiful location and ideal for a relaxing break. Cottage is a delight and well set out and has a lovely homely feel. If you like quiet and the sea then this is the place to be.

Absolutely perfect cottage! Fantastic location. Well equipped, well maintained and totally clean. Neighbours were really friendly. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return soon. We didn't see the local otters, but maybe we will next time. Totally recommended!

Pros Lovely and quiet village. Spotlessly clean Charming cottage with sea views Extremely well equipped kitchen with loads of dishes and pans Brilliant heating Easy key access and return Cons Double bed mattress stained and a bit tired and pillows extremely thin (suggest bring your own if you prefer plump pillows) Very steep stairs and low ceilings upstairs. Despite being aware of this we did continue to bang our head. Internet very unreliable ( it was out for over 24 hours) Despite the cons we would stay again. The reason being is that we loved the quietness of the village and the history of the area. Yes we saw big dolphin pods twice and one lonely seal. The cottage does have binoculars but suggest that you bring your own.

Great cottage for an off the beaten track holiday... Everything you need is in the cottage, which was spotlessly clean. Look out for pods of dolphins swimming past... The garden out the back is lovely to just sit in the sun, and also get the washing dry... A good base for travelling round the Highlands, Dunrobin Castle is close by, and worth a visit as well as Strathpeffer.

From my home I can look across the Moray Firth towards the Dornoth Firth so in sea miles it didnt seem so far away but it was a lovely holiday for me and my friends. We were blessed with very good weather and enjoyed walking and exploring the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the week..

Had a fantastic week, walked all directions from cottage; 1) the Mermaid of the North sculpture in Balintore (about 6hr round trip) 2) Tarbat Ness lighthouse (about 4hr round trip) 3) Portmahomack beach (convenience shop open 8am-8pm) 1 hour round trip. Weather great for all but 1 day, so lovely for February, will defiantly be back. ONE of the BEST equipped cottages we've stayed in, can't think of anything we needed that wasn't here. Sad to leave Andy, Saz & dog Mateo
