This was our third time at the cottage and it did not disappoint us. Pat the owner is very welcoming without being intrusive and the whole long weekend left us ready to book again next year.

The accommodation was excellent. Lovely home made carrot cake on our arrival. Because of the time of year we had the added bonus of the Christmas decorations being up. All in all a great stay. Would recommend thoroughly

Fantastic cottage. Modern inside, every facility you need, clean and very cosy but spacious too. Easy to find and park. Great location. Would definitely stay again.

The owner was very friendly and helpful right from the first telephone call about arrival details to the last day when we departed. The cottage was really comfortable with everything you needed. It is set in a very small peaceful village but is very close to Broadway where you can find all you need. It is possible to visit lots of attractions within a small radius but there are many other place within short drives. Would highly recommend this cottage for a quiet, friendly time away in a lovely area.

Wifi was via booster device that repeatedly failed under load. Eg: OK with phones and iPads turn on laptop and it rebooted :( This sadly meant I was frustrated and couldn't finish project. O2 coverage was poor too with frequent no service despite their website saying 3G. That of course isn't the cottage owners fault. Other than data connection issues the cottage is excellent, well maintained and handy for lots of Cotswolds attractions. If the wifi was upgraded I'd definitely stay again.

Shire Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. Pat the owner has thought of everything, there is nothing you want that isn't there. Pat is very kind and thoughtful, she would go out of her way to help you. The cottage is so comfortable and homely, with a beautiful log burning fire. It is so central for all the beautiful places you would want to visit. Broadway is only 5 miles away, such a beautiful village with lovely shops and Restaurants. Shire Cottage is ideal, it is quiet, peaceful yet not far away from the main road networks. I would most certainly stay again.

Our host Pat is a wonderful lady and was so helpful and friendly without being intrusive. The cottage is extremely well appointed and Pat had thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable. It is ideally located to visit a wide range of Cotswold Villages, and the beautiful village of Broadway is only a 10 minute drive with Bourton-on-the-Water also a short distance. The Cotswolds Falconry is a must visit. Thanks Pat for being such a gracious host and for making our stay so enjoyable, the cottage is a credit to you. Bill & Aileen, Australia

Whilst the location of this cottage was ideal, we did feel that the cottage was not up to the usual high (gold award) standard we have come to expect. There were utensils still in the dishwasher when we arrived. There were long dark hairs in the twin bedroom and adjacent bathroom. The cottage overall was dusty with large cobwebs in many places. Some crockery was dirty and very badly stained. Whilst we appreciate that the people who stay in the cottages are largely responsible for leaving the cottage clean and tidy and for the way the crockery and cutlery is left on departure, we would expect the owner or the person who cleans for them to have checked for items such as those noted above. In addition, we had to return home after only two days due to an invasion of flying ants inside the cottage. Whilst I appreciate the flying ants are beyond the owner's control, it was strange that we did not see them outside the cottage, just inside.

This was the best cottage we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in lots. Patricia was extremely helpful and made us very welcome.
