It was very cosy and comfortable cottage it which to spend Christmas and New Year. Ideal for walking but unfortunately because of the bad weather we were unable to make use of the paths and bridleways due to the very wet soggy surface. We could not give amenities a high mark as the nearest pub was about a mile away the shops 5 miles.

Great cottage and owner very friendly. Cottage easy to find and good road to the cottage which you don't always get with a farm.

Property itself was superb. Struggling to criticise other than a bit of a walk to the pub.

A very comfortable holiday cottage - a "home from home". The owner who lives next door could not be more helpful. We were made to feel very welcome and very much enjoyed our stay.

Our week at shire cottage was a truly enjoyable holiday not only was the accommodation very good the owner Pat who lived next door was a very friendly person and we had many good chats with her. The location of the cottage was brilliant and we had so many options what to do each day, the only thing which was missing was a village shop enabling us to get a paper and maybe a pub that we could walk toOverall very well worth a visit again.

Wonderful cottage, 3rd visit and Pat still as friendly and accommodating as ever. A real home from home, we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else in this area. Looking forward to our next visit.
