This cottage had all we wanted and more. It was comfortable and warm. The isolation was bliss.

One of the best cottages ever. What a pity, that holidays always ends. The owners have given us a very warm welcome and it was easy to get in touch with them.

Exceptional place in all respects, we all three enjoyed our stay so much. This is one of the best cottages and grounds we have experienced!

Excellent, clean, comfortable and well equipped cottage. The only minor criticism is that in these days of reliance on broadband internet access, the connection at Shippen Cottage is disappointingly slow. You couldn't do anything about the weather, which could have been better. It didn't spoil our break though. I would stay here again.

The cottage was more than we expected! An absolute delight and very reasonable price although know it was beginning of March! Definitely visit again _ not too far from Tavistock where my elderly parents live - a lovely day out for them just to visit somewhere different and comfortable!

Brilliant cottage. Great for walks. Fantastic that is on the site of the craft centre with fantastic artists, potters, jewellers and woodworkers.

What a fabulous cottage! Beautifully styled. More like a home from home than a holiday cottage. Lovely setting with views of the moor and woodland walks. Peace and quiet. Tricky to get a mobile phone signal or internet connection, but that was a good thing in my view! Comfortable beds and well appointed bathrooms. The living space was great- very well thought out and everything you needed in the kitchen. The lane getting to the cottage is very narrow and the best way in and out is over the golf course. Would definitely stay there again and will recommend it to friends.

This lovely cottage was the perfect getaway break me and my boyfriend were looking for. We cannot fault the cottage itself, the location, the people or the area. It was about a 10 minute drive to a main part of Dartmoor which we thought was perfect so we went everyday. The cottage was immaculate and there wasn't anything missing which you would need (except food of course - although we were given fresh chicken eggs and provided with coffee and biscuits and milk) We will 100% be returning!!
