A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Situated on the edge of Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, this single-storey holiday accommodation provides guest with somewhere to relax, unwind and leave the stresses of everyday life at home.

Set down a sleepy lane, right on the edge of Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, Sherefair provides ground floor accommodation for those looking for somewhere to base themselves and explore all that the area has to offer, whilst still having a quiet retreat to relax in after a busy day sightseeing. With a cosy living room, a spacious kitchen and a conservatory overlooking the private, well-maintained garden, Sherefair is the perfect choice for your north Norfolk holiday. It is just half a mile from the bustling market town of Fakenham with its racecourse, cinema, bowling alley and golf club. With the coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea just under 10 miles away, guests will find a picturesque quay, a quaint mix of artisan and traditional seaside shops, cafes and restaurants, and a narrow gauge railway that takes you down to the sandy beach with its famous row of painted beach huts. Heading east or west from Wells, you will find a coastline scattered with pretty villages offering marshes, beaches and lots of places to eat and shop. Close by, lies Hunstanton, with its Sealife Centre, small funfair and beaches that really do seem to go on forever. Of course, Pensthorpe Nature Reserve is literally on your doorstep and makes for a great day out. Also within easy reach, lies Holkham Hall, Royal Sandringham and the Blickling Estate. Bird watchers will find varied habitats for viewing wildlife and walkers and cyclists will find coastal and rural trails galore to keep them entertained. A little further afield but well worth a visit, is the medieval city of Norwich, with its splendid Norman castle, the Hanseatic old quarter of Kings Lynn and the Norfolk Broads. Beds we're clean no comfort in cottage at all cobwebs and shower dirty on arrival no hot water until we found switch hidden behind curtain then had to wait for it to heat up said animal friendly couldnt let dog out and couldn't leave her in cottage either cupboards had disgusting smell in to overall very poor

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- We are regularly in touch and inspected by our area manager at Cottages.com who has every confidence in us with the presentation, cleanliness etc. The garden in not described as securely enclosed, the dog whilst welcome is your responsibility. The hot water heats up quickly but in any case it is supplied free of charge and unlimited, you are welcome to leave hot water on constant. Whilst the shower is not new and may have a few limescale marks, it is however always bleached and cleaned properly, the cupboards I believe smell of wood. I did ask you if everything was ok as we want our customers to be happy, obviously the bungalow was not to your taste. A rural bungalow can grow a spiders web overnight.

The cottage was available for pets I did not notice this when booking but did not expect the pillows and cushions to smell of pets. The furnishings were not the same as shown but was surprised that as they had been replaced they were obviously not good quality in terms of comfort. The pictures shown on website lead to believe that the nature reserve is very close by which it is but there is no access to it near the cottage. The garden which could be lovely is neglected only the grass is cut everything else is overgrown with brambles in the apple trees.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Sorry to hear you were not happy with the bungalow, we do our best to leave it clean and tidy. The cushions are feather, no dog has sat on them. The Oak lounge suite is firm but quality furniture nevertheless. We have had many complimentary comments about the bungalow and its location and we didn't receive any complaints from you although we asked you to let us know if everything was OK. The garden is nice and green and private in spite of a bramble or two.
