Totally enjoyed my Stay. My German Shepard found an old tyre to play with in the Garden. Both our dogs loved the Scarborough & Bridlington Beaches. The House had Everything & more. Definitely stay again. A nice touch would be a little welcome gift-Scones & Fresh Loaf with the Tea-Coffee & Milk. The Log fire was excellent & kept us warm in the cozy living room. My wife loved the Roll Top Bath Norman & Diane, Northampton shire

Lovely cottage, plenty of space, perfect for dogs, log burner was wonderful. The only down side was the aga wasn't on as advertised.

We enjoyed everything about the cottage and the children loved playing in the garden. The decor etc. In all the rooms was excellent. Our only slight criticism was that we could smell dog in one or two of the rooms.

If looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway look no further than Shepherds Cottage. It's a spacious and comfortable haven with huge garden and BBQ. It's well located for day trips to Scarborough, Filey, Whitby, York, Dalby Forest and numerous pretty villages. Good stock of games and jigsaws to play should the weather turn. Our family of 4 (kids aged 11 and 8) all had a lovely time.

Superb cottage - very well appointed. I don't think it mentions it in the description but it does have a dishwasher which was a bonus. The log burner makes the lounge very warm and cosy and the Aga totally heat the fantastic enormous kitchen. Little extra's like hot water bottles were much appreciated in the middle of winter. Cottage was cosy, locals were friendly - the pub is excellent for meals and the landlord / landlady very accommodating - pub is dog friendly. The country side is seconds from the door. Recommend a sat nav - lots of windy lanes. :) Fantastic location, very peaceful. Arrival and departure contact calls from Sue were a welcome and very considerate touch. Thank you
