My only critique is that I thought by the description, the cottage would be immediately overlooking the hills. The cottage is close but not as close as i thought. I thought we'd be able to see the hills from the back of the property but it wasn't as visable as I'd hoped. Having said this, the cottage is well equipped and very comfortable with the local pubs ridiculously close; both with very welcoming staff . It was very clean, easy to access and in a welcoming community. We would definitely rent this cottage again!

My other half and the dog always have an autumn break in either the Peak District or Yorkshire Dales. This year was Derbyshire's turn and our choice of holiday cottage did us proud. Lovely setting just off the main street in Old Glossop, easy parking and a lovely view from the rear of the property. Everything clean and very well equipped, nice touch by the owners with a little welcoming gift on arrival, bottle of wine, cakes and more importantly a pint of milk in the fridge for a well deserved cuppa!! These little extras make all the difference. As we have a wood burner at home we had brought some logs etc with us, would have been nice to have had some wood in the basket just to start you off. The little back garden was lovely and if it had been in summer and a pleasant evening we would have sat outside an enjoyed a quiet drink. Was very grateful to have use of the washing machine and tumble dryer as got soaked on the first day! Overall very impressed with accommodation, layout and facilities so would definitely come back again.

An excellent, well equipped home. We stayed for four weeks when we visited family in the area on our trip from Qatar. The house offered everything we needed, was ideally located for our needs. There are many thing to do in and around Glossop as well as a local train to Manchester city centre. The owners were very welcoming and always on hand should there be any issues. (There wasn't any issues!

Excellent terraced stone cottage , comfortable and clean. Fine location on the edge of the Dark Peak and with good train link towards Manchester to enable me to easily visit family.
