The cottage was beautiful and well equipped. Ellen, the owner, was delightful and made us feel very welcome even down to providing a card and gifts on the day we celebrated our Golden Wedding anniversary. The local sika deer coming into the garden most days and even allowing us to approach quite close to them was a delightful bonus. The town and the surrounding area were very picturesque as was the wider area. The weather was not brilliant but did not keep us in - we covered pretty much everywhere in the south west corner of Ireland and enjoyed all of it.

We had a very enjoyable week at the cottage and Ellen was a very friendly and helpful lady. Tea tray was laid out on our arrival with packet of cookies and milk in fridge. It is perfectly situated in private wooded area (we saw 2 deers in back garden) and was so peaceful so slept well. Also only 15mins walk to the lovely town of Kenmare. So much to do in the local area that couldn't fit it all in! Cottage is cosy and plenty of room. There is no hair dryer so you need to take one if needed!

Beautifully quiet location, very well equipped. Need to do something about hot water - obviously no thermostat and we were told (after we had done it!) Not to leave heater on long as it will boil - water was then scaldingly hot.

Welcoming and friendly landlady. Beautiful garden . Very quiet location and only a twenty minute walk into town where there were plenty restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets. Supermarkets and shops along with lots of pubs with live music most nights of the week.
