The location of the cottage was superb however it was let down by the shabby furniture and lack of general maintenance. The cracked bathroom mirror, no cover on the light fitting in the bedroom and sparse kitchen equipment. More information would have helped, the light switches were a complete mystery, information about the bins etc.

the cottage is what it is. fantastic location superb views but the cottage is in need of a good clean and a coat of paint as it is beginning to look shabby. this was our 6th year in shandwick cottage and have sadly seen it deteriorate over this time but that said it didn't stop us from having a lovely weeks holiday with plenty of sunshine. hopefully to be back next year

The cottage's location in the village is beautiful: great seaview and only 50 m to the beach. The village itself doesn't offer much and you have to drive a while to get to interesting places.

Beautiful scenery, peaceful and relaxing week, cosy cottage , throw a stick for the dog from the porch and it reaches the beach !! Porridge for breakfast made in an underfloor heated kitchen, a couple of steps outside porridge and a glass of glenmorangie sitting on the garden bench looking out to sea .. Surrounded by mountains covered with snow (April .. Bring an anorack) Typical fishing village surroundings , so a bit of a distance for bigger shops .. Views from upstairs Windows stunning wife and I spotted dolphins on the third day..
