Shamrock Cottage is beautiful and ideally situated. Very tastefully decorated and easy to liaise with the owners re parking. There were a few cobwebs left, which is disappointing in the height of the summer season and the top drawer of the dishwasher was broken to the extent it couldn't be used - it was a shame this wasn't pointed out as had we used it and items had been broken we would have been charged. However I would recommend Shamrock Cottage and would stay again.

A fabulous location right in the heart of bourton on the water! The house is a small typical Cotswolds cottage, renovated and fitted with all the conveniences of a contemporary home. The stairs are steep but a short climb to the first floor and a steeper climb up to the second bedroom. It is a fabulous choice for families with older kids, and couples. The climb is difficult for older people and the steep narrow stairs quite dangerous for young children. Also watch the cabinet edges particularly on the fridge with young children, they are rather sharp. My toddler cut his finger badly on the fridge cabinet. We walked in to a beautifully clean cottage with a nice hamper of goodies waiting for us. The location and charm of the cottage make it a great option for anyone visiting bourton on the water. Everything is right next door.. Thank you so much for having us. Ps. I couldn't figure out where to throw the trash bags.. maybe you can add a little note about that in the cottage guide book as well, Jeff. It says the trash will be picked up but I'm afraid we couldn't figure out where to keep it until then.

Very pleasant, compact cottage in the heart of Bourton. Location is excellent and it is well furnished. The bedrooms, one on each of the 1st and 2nd floors, are comfortable but the stairs are quite steep to reach them. Free parking at the public car park at Birdland (about 300m) worked well with the owners preregistering the car registration with the parking authorities. Shamrock Cottage provided us with an excellent base from which to explore the Cotswolds with Bourton probably the crown jewel of the towns / villages we visited.

A simply cosy, clean and well equipped cottage. Located conveniently close to all the local attractions and shops. The welcoming owners left a few goodies on arriving, which was a lovely touch. We would definitely stay there again!

I loved this grade II listed building. It's lovely and spacious on 3 levels. Downstairs toilet was a godsend. It's so close to all the shops. Only gripe is the parking, but felt that the owner had gone out of their way to ensure this wasn't a big problem. It was all explained really well. I felt so at home here that I didn't want to go home. Would definitely like to return.
