Very pleasant, compact cottage in the heart of Bourton. Location is excellent and it is well furnished. The bedrooms, one on each of the 1st and 2nd floors, are comfortable but the stairs are quite steep to reach them. Free parking at the public car park at Birdland (about 300m) worked well with the owners preregistering the car registration with the parking authorities. Shamrock Cottage provided us with an excellent base from which to explore the Cotswolds with Bourton probably the crown jewel of the towns / villages we visited.

A simply cosy, clean and well equipped cottage. Located conveniently close to all the local attractions and shops. The welcoming owners left a few goodies on arriving, which was a lovely touch. We would definitely stay there again!

I loved this grade II listed building. It's lovely and spacious on 3 levels. Downstairs toilet was a godsend. It's so close to all the shops. Only gripe is the parking, but felt that the owner had gone out of their way to ensure this wasn't a big problem. It was all explained really well. I felt so at home here that I didn't want to go home. Would definitely like to return.

Everything was lovely! The only thing was the gas fireplace was not working for the duration of my stay. This was one of the main perks and contributed to why I chose this cottage, but overall it was great!

It's a lovely cottage, clean and well equipped ( a few board games etc would have been good) However, the parking was a real issue, even with the parking permit. The road noise was also a problem, the bed rooms were hot ( no fans provided) just thick duvets! so the Windows had to be left open. Therefore, not the best nights sleep, which was a shame as the beds themselves were really comfy. May be it is more of a winter cottage than a summer one?!

An absolutely beautiful cottage. My sister and I surprised our parents with a little getaway, and we had the most wonderful time. Perfect location, so much to do and see.

A lovely cottage right in the heart of a beautiful village. Just too small for 3 adults. Low ceilings, a very awkward staircase and the overgrown front garden which made the living room dark and coming and going from the cottage a challenge.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for the feedback on the garden. We have sent a gardener to cut back the vegetation and let more light in the window. We are puzzled by the rating for the cleaning. We always get 9 or 10 ratings on the cleanliness. I contacted our housekeeper who informed me the cottage had been cleaned in the usual thorough way. The cottage is a grade II listed building and ceilings are low and rooms are small but very neat and tidy. This rating is very different from all other tenants.

Cottage was clean, cosy, and comfortable. It is in Bourton so only a couple of minutes walk into town. The parking isn't a problem as car park is only a few minutes away and I was able to park opposite the cottage every evening. I would recommend this and thinking of rebooking it for another stay.
