Customers’ Choice Award 2018
Nestled in the quiet countryside, this delightfully presented period cottage is in a perfect location for those quiet family breaks away.

Situated just over 3 miles from the coastline these two holiday cottages are set in peaceful countryside with excellent walking direct from the doorstep. Rose Cottage (ref UKC390) is a pretty semi-detached period cottage adjoining the owner’s home, and boasts character and comfort having an open fire in the living room and private enclosed courtyard garden. The Boat House (ref UKC1617) is a detached barn, nestled within the owner’s grounds, neighbouring to their home and Rose Cottage, making it great for families and friends wishing to retain their independence but wanting to be close together. It boasts spacious accommodation all on one level, with a wood burner and a private enclosed courtyard garden.
The traditional seaside town of Cromer is 4 miles away, with its sandy beaches, promenade, pier, cafés, pubs and shops, and the Cromer carnival which is held in August. The popular seaside resorts of Mundesley and Sheringham, 7½ miles, provide a perfect seaside day out. The cottages are also close to several National Trust sites, including Felbrigg Hall, Blickling Hall and Sheringham Park. The Saltmarsh RSPB bird and nature reserve, being a natural habitat for bird and wildlife, offers great birdwatching opportunities. If you wish to venture further afield, why not head to Wells-next-the-Sea, 22 miles away, where you can admire its picturesque quay, or drive to the city of Norwich, 20 miles, and enjoy the cathedral, castle museum, theatre, fine dining, cafés and pubs, whilst spending that well deserved time with your loved ones. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Lovely cottage. Great beaches close by. Fantastic country walks. Blakney for crabbing and Horsey beach for close up seal spotting. A brilliant 5 day break.

Nice and cosy in the coldest week of the year so far. Good location to Felbrigg, Cromer and Blickling. Kitchen well equipped but bathroom very small.

Lovely quirky cottage with real fire. Travelled with family and dogs. Handy local guide to facilities where the dogs were welcome. Owner was lovely, friendly, chatty and helpful.

Lovely quaint cottage with traditional features but modernised to make it cosy and comfortable. The weather was autumnal so the central heating was much appreciated. Caralyn gave us a friendly welcome and was on hand if we needed anything. It was handy having our own enclosed garden for our two dogs. Although we enjoyed our brief stay, as mentioned by a previous visitor, it would have been perfect had there been somewhere to eat/drink close by within walking distance.

Lovely cottage. Ideal location to access all local beaches. Close to Cromer, Sheringham and Wells. Lovely weather. We usually holiday this time of year as our wedding anniversary. Walked our little westie all over. Lovely holiday x

We had a lovely week here, beautiful location. Everything you could need , just like being at home. Great hosts who were on hand if needed but not invasive. Great location to visit all the different places norfolk has to offer .

The hosts could not have been more welcoming or helpful, the cottage is very well equipped even down to some tea, coffee, milk and biscuits which was appreciated after a long drive. The area is stunning with plenty to do and visit. The only down side I would say is that there wasn't anywhere nearby within walking distance to go for a drink or something to eat on an evening, you really do need a car. Fabulous area, cottage and hosts, will definitely visit again!!!

We found this cottage to be cosy, warm, extremely clean, well equipped and a pleasure to return to after our days out. We found lovely walks through the Felbrigg Eastate which was great as we had our two dogs with us. Having an enclosed garden is a must for us with our dogs and here we had a nice courtyard garden with garden bench and a table and chairs , plus a part of the garden to walk your dog should you wish . This cottage is very well situated for good walking but if you want to take the car you have Cromer, Sheringham, Overstrrand within a ten minute drive. We found the owners very pleasant and accomadating and if we went back to this area we would certainly stay here again. I am very fussy but I could not fault this cottage at all. All in all a very enjoyable holiday..

I spent the Easter weekend there with my family and was generally delighted with the cottage. It was exceptionally clean and well equipt. There were a couple of disappointments. Firstly the hot water heater for the bathroom basin was not working and also when we arrived there was no toilet paper so we had to ask for some and were given just a single roll for 4 people for 3 days. There was also other items such as hand soap, washing up liquid etc which I was expecting to be provided but were not. Apart from these sundry items the cottage was great and we would be happy to go again and / or recommend it to others
