Lovely comfortable cottage. Cleaning and maintenance an issue. Dry dog food under chair in the kitchen area , half drunk soft drink bottles in the kitchen cupboard and used tissues in the bathroom. No bath plug, the toilet upstairs was difficult to flush. Two blown globes in the kitchen and outside light over back door was not working

We had two happy weeks at Serendipity, the cottage is near to where we wanted to be and not far from train connection at Petersfield, there is a lovely playground with swings and walking places nearby. We met the owner once at the beginning and they were very nice. Equipment in the cottage are all very well-instructed and easy to use; there is sufficient information of the neighbourhood which is I think is thoughtful and useful. The cottage is one touch smaller that what we had expected, or what its picture suggests (Serendipity is roughly half of the building we see in its picture, while one or two neighbours stay in the rest) - but that's really no problem. The only thing we think travelers should know is that there is practically no parking next to the cottage especially for slightly large cars - theoretically you can try to park neatly along the alley, however during the two weeks we were there, there were always neighbours' cars taking all the spaces. That's generally no problem because there are parkings at the green nearby which is a pleasant short walk away (across the lovely playground), however when we arrived in a rainy day with a lot of luggage and an unhelpful neighbour opposite Serendipity refused to let us temporarily park to unload the luggage, it got a bit difficult/inconvenient. Try not to arrive in the heavy rain and you'll be fine!

Serendipity is a lovely cottage in a beautiful village. The garden is very pretty and south-facing. This cottage has a really nice atmosphere and is well-furnished to make your stay very comfortable. We have stayed a couple of times and would not hesitate in recommending it.
