Seaview worked wonderfully as a place to get away from it all. The house was full of everything a visitor needed. In all the times I've stayed at cottages like this I have never had so many things to hand. Not just all the crockery and cutlery you could ever need, but tea bags, coffee, salt, pepper and other 'essentials' that I have had to buy myself elsewhere. Seaview is well placed with a wonderful view over Loch Leurbost, with views that change at every moment of the day. Sitting watching the Loch was one of our favorite relaxations and the owner (Liz) even provided binoculars so we could get a better view. A comfortable bed and good space for parking make this an ideal location for anyone wishing to chill out on the Isle of Lewis.

A good place for a Lewis holiday, ideally located for Stornoway and beyond. Nice views of the Leurbost loch and a clean, well maintained extension to the owner's house. An enjoyable and relaxing stay. On the other side, it was smaller than other properties we have rented in Lewis and other parts of the Highlands and Islands. For the same price, we have previously rented bigger, detached properties with bigger bedrooms. However, we booked late and the choice was limited.

Fantastic cottage. Really lovely - just about everything you can think of ( and things you haven't) were provided. All equipment and furnishings were top quality. The view from the cottage is wonderful. We were made to feel so welcome by the owner, who even left us a welcome pack of wine, eggs, milk, and a home baked cake. This cottage was far superior to anywhere we have stayed before. We think it deserves a 5 star rating. Would not hesitate to recommend this cottage - it is an absolute gem! Great here for bird watchers, too. The local Sea Eagle put in an appearance!

Outstanding location, very comfortable, lots of 'extras' (complimentary milk, wine, cake, biscuits, etc). Very hospitable hostess. I would (and will) happily recommend this cottage.

Wonderful stay, made to feel so welcome by the owner, booking seaview genuinely made our stay in the Isle of Lewis a pleasure. The owner has considered all the small details, making self catering a simple affair. Certainly plan on returning again.

We had a lovely break at the Repose. Liz gave us a very warm welcome and advice for our stay and the welcome pack fruit loaf etc was well received. The cottage well exceeded our expectations and was extremely well equipped. Our best cottage yet. Located ideally for scenery and touring access to Lewis and Harris. We have been telling our friends about the cottage and highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful week in Lewis, helped by the weather. The cottage is compact, cosy, and has absolutely everything you need, including a dishwasher and washing -machine/dryer. There is a lot of tourist information , and local maps available, also DVDs, games etc. It was spotlessly clean with new, comfortable bedding and plenty of towels. Liz, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly, even making a beautiful fruit cake for our arrival, and providing eggs from their own hens, orange juice, milk and local biscuits. The property is ideally placed with a great view over the loch, and is about 20 minutes from Stornaway. This is among the best self-catering properties we have used.

A lovely, cosy little property in an excellent location for exploring all of Lewis and Harris. Liz was very friendly and welcoming and the fruit loaf we were met with in the kitchen on arrival went down a treat through the week. The house was spotless on arrival and had all the facilities we needed and more. We would certainly stay here again if we are lucky enough to get back over to Lewis.

A fantastic place to stay and a wonderful welcome from the owner. When we arrived we were shown around and how to work the equipment, the owner had supplied tea coffee milk etc. so we could have a cuppa before unpacking. Not only that they had left freshly laid eggs (from their own chickens), a bottle of wine and a delicious home made fruit cake. They were on hand to answer any questions we had and suggested places to visit. The cottage was spotless and equipped with plenty of towels and bedding and had a vast collection of maps guidebooks and leaflets to help plan our days.
